@suladoyle @BellaLucyBee I was told it would cost tens of thousands to bring back single sex toilets in my daughter’s school. In the end it took one person unscrewing and moving the male and female signs.

So if it will cost millions of pounds to restore women’s spaces, didn’t it cost millions of pounds to remove them? I don’t remember anyone mentioning it if so.

Woman, man, boy, girl, female, male are all sex based terms. No human being has or can change sex. Femininity and masculinity are socially created and imposed. Being feminine is not a condition of being female. Being masculine is not required to be male. Men and boys can be feminine. Women and girls can be masculine. "Transwomen" are men. Lesbians are women who are sexually attracted to other women. Gay men are men sexually attracted to other men. Legal sex just means a man has changed his identity documents to claim to be a woman. Gender ideology is bullshit. No child is born in the wrong body. Puberty blockers and cross sex hormones are sterilisation of primarily homosexual or autistic youth. "Trans" isn’t a coherent demographic of people. "Trans" is a man made concept. Safeguarding of women’s boundaries is important. Safeguarding children is paramount. Female spaces are necessary. No males in female sport. When we say female, we’re saying it to reference both women and girls. Otherwise, we’ll be specific about women or girls. Nonbinary is the equivalent of emo or goth, it’s a phase and doesn’t deserve or warrant legislative validation. Females are oppressed on the basis of being female, aka sex. Don’t believe us? Look to women in Afghanistan. While males are also entitled to male only spaces, they’re very different in society and law to female spaces. Women’s rights matter. I'm 43 now, and I've now seen three distinct phases in my life regarding attitudes towards gender/sex. Here's a handy guide for determining which one is the correct take: 1) Pre-1990ish: "Little Billy can't play with dolls b/c he's a boy and everyone knows boys don't play with dolls" ❌ 2) 1990-2010: "Little Billy can play with dolls if he wants, boys can play with dolls. It doesn't make him any less of a boy" ✅ 3) 2010 - Present : "Little Billy IS a girl because he plays with dolls, because everyone knows boys don't play with dolls" ❌ As we can see, #2 is the correct choice. #1 and #3 are examples of toxic right wing gender norms, and toxic left wing gender norms, respectively. That's the funny thing about gender ideology; despite its adherents loud claims that they are somehow smashing traditional gender-based norms and stereotypes, they're actually rigidly enforcing them. The truly enlightened viewpoint is that there is no right or wrong way to be a boy or girl and kids should feel free to explore and play with whatever they want without activists with an agenda slapping an inappropriate label on them and forcing them into a pathway towards lifelong medicalization and dependency on Big Pharma.

My ex-husband decided, after 10 years of marriage, to break up with me right after my PhD defense. Yes, right after we had dinner at my advisor’s place to celebrate. We got home and he dropped the bomb on me. I was completely shattered. I cried for 3 straight months, lost 22 pounds, and somehow managed to submit the final version of my dissertation and finally become a doctor, barely holding it together. Now, 9 months later, he wants to be friends.

ITV is filming a drama about Queen Elizabeth I that will portray her as a trans-identifying man who hid his sex and became queen. She will be played by a trans-identifying man, of course. I am so tired of this sh!t. Any historical woman who stepped outside of the narrow gender roles men tried to force upon her gets transed, and this particular idea is even more insulting to women than portraying Elizabeth as a woman who secretly identified as a man. Almost as insulting is the stupidity level of the entire premise. Had Elizabeth been born male, she’d have been Henry VIII’s immediate successor, Anne Boleyn wouldn’t have lost her head, and Jane Seymour would never have wed Henry or produced Edward. We’d also have avoided Bloody Mary. I’m personally very sick of watching the courts torture a woman for knowing what a man is. I’m worried that an appeal to the high court will result in the same outcome and we’re simply torturing Sall further. It’s the laws that are the problem.

While yesterday was devastating, it will likely be the catalyst we need to change the dysfunctional Sex Discrimination Act. The Federal MPs in this country won’t know what’s hit them from Monday onwards! @salltweets
