Today, the FDA approved another over the counter naloxone nasal spray product – a medicine that reverses opioid overdoses and saves lives. Beating the opioid and overdose epidemic is a core pillar of my Unity Agenda. My Administration has committed unprecedented resources to crackdown on drug trafficking and expand access to addiction treatment, prevention, and recovery support services.

.@POTUS’s Strategy to beat the overdose epidemic focuses on building a recovery-ready nation. Today, @DrGupta46 and @GayleManchin joined people in recovery to discuss how @ARCgov’s INSPIRE grantees are doing just that by creating recovery-ready workplaces.

Today, @DrGupta46 participated in volunteer clinic work at @WVHealthRight that serves nearly 41,000 medically-underserved people and met with patients in recovery who receive critical support services.

Today, @DrGupta46 met with @WVGovernor to discuss the important work happening to address addiction and the overdose epidemic on a bipartisan basis, including youth substance use prevention efforts that help keep communities healthy and safe.
