Honestly, it was a nice win, but it doesn't negate the fact that we've already conceded 4 goals in two games. A stronger opponent won't let us win the match after drawing. Ekitike's withdrawal has weakened the team again. We urgently need a No. 9 (even if it's Ekitike's backup).

Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness is not good enough for Liverpool. Very sleepy football and the high pressure they talk about have nothing like what Klopp did. If we are going to change coaches within the available options Hoeness is not the best, he is the last.

Liverpool 26/27 - Younger, Faster, Cheaper #LFC In: Diomande - £65m Touré - £40m Sangaré - £45m Palestra - £25m Senesi - Free Transfer Out: Salah - Free Transfer Robbo - Free Transfer Ibou - Free Transfer Macca - £55m Elliott - £20m Alisson - £20m Net of -£75m I'd rather Barcola, but unless Diomande picks PSG i don't see it happening. I'd nearly let Diomande go to PSG and take Barcola, but, based off rumours it looks to be heading this way... NB - not set lineups, just two different sets of XI, Rio obviously fits in either XI too. Floor of the entire squad raises dramatically.

Liverpool need to look at Francisco Trincao from Sporting. He is a kind of sleepless Bernardo Silva. He is very comfortable scoring goals and making assists. He is at the ideal age to leave Portugal.

Although I want someone experienced like Nagelsmann to lead Liverpool, at the moment the Spanish coaches are the best in the world. Pep, Arteta, Maresca, Emery, Enrique... There are many. In this context, it would make sense for Liverpool to look for Iraola.

#LFC 🔴 🚨 Liverpool have long admired Sebastian Hoeneß and have monitored his progress at Stuttgart closely for some time. The 44-year-old was a serious candidate to succeed Jürgen Klopp in 2024, but Arne Slot ultimately edged him out in the club’s data-led process. Liverpool’s hierarchy favoured a more measured, possession-oriented approach at the time, believing it would reduce the high injury risk associated with intense, high-pressing systems. Should the club opt for a change in the dugout, Hoeneß would sit very high on their shortlist. the Liverpool dressing room would feel particularly comfortable with his high-intensity, pressing style — an approach many still regard as their natural identity. Mohamed Salah’s post yesterday confirms that. Over the next few days, Liverpool’s senior hierarchy are expected to make a definitive call on Slot’s future. Should he remain in post, significant alterations are anticipated across both the coaching staff and the playing squad. Hoeneß continues to command strong internal respect. Andoni Iraola and Julian Nagelsmann are also highly regarded within the club’s recruitment thinking.

@SeanDOlfc What do you guys genuinely see in him? His game has zero control and his players boots the ball every build up, he's a high press merchant who can't coach at any other phase of the game, surely we can't be this desperate

Apparently Iraola hates getting involved with recruitment and just likes coaching his players. That sounds like an absolute match made in heaven for our directors and also for us as fans who have watched a manager do fuck all with his team all season and go on holiday every week.

@BelieveInKlopp Different times. At that time, the football played in England and in much of Europe was 4-4-2. High pressure has become well regarded in football with Guardiola's Barcelona.

Liverpool fans loved Rafa Benitez, but his style of football wasn’t front foot high press. In truth it was very organised and disciplined. Certainly not heavy metal. So why did you love him?

Aston Villa has a highly attractive football. Liverpool is not even close to watchable football. I missed several games this season because I didn't even remember when there was a game. 3 years ago I knew the entire schedule of games of the club already in the pre-season.

@YazzLFC The problem is , can he do it 3 days per week ? And constantly under pressure all season ? Managing small club and big club is vast difference. Look at slot for example. Also , our fans are still in klopps ass anyways . Afraid of changes . Living in past glory .

Andoni Iraola should be at the very top of Liverpool’s shortlist if they’re serious about building the next great era. What he’s doing at Bournemouth is nothing short of remarkable. Tonight, he tactically outclassed Pep Guardiola and that isn’t something you can just brush off as a one-off result. Bournemouth are now 4 months unbeaten, playing with a clear identity, intensity, and belief that reflects elite coaching. But the real story is the context. Iraola isn’t doing this with a super squad or unlimited resources. He lost his entire starting back line and first-choice goalkeeper last summer the kind of disruption that derails most teams for a full season. Then in January, he lost Antoine Semenyo too, one of Bournemouth’s most dangerous attacking outlets. Most managers would use that as an excuse for regression. Instead? He adapted. He rebuilt, evolved the system, and somehow made Bournemouth even stronger. Now he has them on course for European football for the first time in the club’s 127-year history. That is elite management. This isn’t just about results either. Bournemouth under Iraola are aggressive, brave, tactically flexible, and incredibly well-drilled. His teams press with intelligence, transition quickly, attack with purpose, and compete against bigger clubs without fear. That profile screams Liverpool. High intensity. Front-foot football. Tactical courage. Player development. Overachievement. Liverpool don’t just need a good coach after the Klopp era they need a manager who can elevate players, maximise resources, and impose a modern identity. Andoni Iraola is proving he can do all of that at one of the toughest clubs in the league to sustain success. If he can take Bournemouth from relegation candidates to Europe while losing half his spine, imagine what he could do with Liverpool’s squad, infrastructure, and recruitment model. Elite level manager - We must act FAST

I've just reviewed Julian Nagelsmann's 10 most memorable Champions League games with Bayern and his style is consistent with Liverpool's standards. Quick transitions, fast counter attacks, fast wingers and full-backs, controlling midfielders. That's what we need.
