Some Germans are currently trying to instil guilt and shame into Czech people by organising an event in CZ to talk about Sudetenland. I guess because Czechia didn’t have any colonies they had to find something else to make people feel guilty for being European. It wasn’t done ideally, but this whole discourse is ridiculous for many reasons. One of them being that it happened as a response to German occupation of Czechoslovakia during WWII. Another that Czechia is about half Germanic. Imagine apologising to your occupier for expulsing his people after the occupation. Maybe Germany should pay Czechia for the war crimes committed at Lidice and Lezaky instead. Frankly, I will never apologise for having been born in a country that survived, and came back stronger from, two military occupations in the past 90 years.
