The last thing I can listen to is any political advice from Morara. This is a man who took Kenyans on a fools’ ride, raising funds for a car, fuel, a furnished office, and even registering a political party that no one knows anything about. What we are witnessing is a familiar political tactic: controlled opposition. Loud enough to say “Kasongo is bad”, but carefully positioned to make Kenyans believe that every alternative is just as bad or even worse. The result is confusion, voter fatigue, and eventually resignation “better the devil we know.” This is not new. It is a proven method of crowd management: Create anger, channel it into confusion, and kill belief in real change. More troubling is the selective activism. Anyone claiming to fight corruption and elite capture must be transparent about their own interests. Why is Morara silent about his furniture business? Why is there no conversation about how the lifting of logging restrictions in government forests benefits him and those behind him? Yes, the Kenyatta family represents old elite power but replacing one elite proxy with another is not change. It is simply moving pieces on the same chessboard. Morara, like others before him, appears to be one of those pieces, just like Kasmuel. The danger here is not criticism of Kasongo criticism is healthy. The danger is destroying faith in genuine alternatives. When citizens conclude that “everyone is bad anyway,” the system wins. Real change does not come from managed outrage. It comes from honesty, transparency, and accountability especially from those who claim to be different.
