Pitchfork really skipped reviewing Chris Brown solo albums for YEARS. No Indigo. No Breezy. No 11:11. That’s a 6–7 year gap with zero solo album reviews… then suddenly they come back for “BROWN” Chris Brown’s most talked-about, most anticipated, most dissected album in years just to drop a 1.3 and farm outrage clicks. Good review or bad review is one thing. But ignoring an artist for nearly a decade, then only showing up when the internet is guaranteed to react? That feels less like music journalism and more like engagement bait.
