Today was my final in person Council meeting before my term as Commissioner ends. It was an emotional day as I reflected on 4 years of hard work during an exceptionally difficult period in our history. Serving on the Portland City Council has been an incredible honor.

That the US does not massively smash every single measure of health and happiness out of the park is, when you look at how rich this country actually is, honestly very embarrassing. I wish we had more of the kind of national chauvinism that considered things like this a disgrace.

The sea of supporters for the Drag Show at the Aztec Theatre is starting to outnumber the protesters who are opposed to it. Many of the LGBTQ supporters say Drag Shows have been a safe space for them.
