Who wants to see a “proving ground” competition between Non- @MLSNEXT (Elite) Academies and @ECNLboys? An event at the end of the year that the top teams in each platform go head-to-head. Talk about a scouting/recruiting opportunity.

@stuholden AND on smaller fields where they have more actions on the ball with less space which leads to more problem solving.

Knees and elbow deep into youth soccer in USA with my kids. So many observations… obviously… but curious why we are so quick to move our kids from 7 vs 7 to 9 vs 9 at 9/10 years old? Feels like running in space gets prioritized over problem solving and technical ability?

@stuholden Game is played in partnerships of 2-3 players (triangles) all over the field. Play more 4v4, 5v5, or 6v6. Keep kids in that type of environment, learning to play in partnership for longer periods of time.

@TaylorTwellman And you take 1 of them off at the weather break in Becher down 1-0? Celio comes on and provides some great service in the box. You have to THINK Becher profile, the way he attacks the goal, get’s on the end of something. Not saying he would have but you have to think that way.

12/10/17: Dynamo acquire Arturo Álvarez from the Chicago Fire in exchange for a 2nd round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. During 1 season with the Dynamo, Álvarez made 20 appearances and had 3 assists. He helped the Dynamo win the 2018 Open Cup. #ForeverOrange
