People getting close to being released from prison must overcome their method of surviving in captivity in order to have success in freedom. That is a failure of the system that constantly dehumanizes you & then expects you to be able to function in the free world.

Question for @NevadaOpenGov, NRS 343A.100 keeps all working papers from executive branch audits confidential, execpt in very limited cirumstances. Making it dificult to dive deeper into audits. While I understand posibly redacting some information is there a good reason for this?

This is big. This is important. Court fees in Nevada bury our most vulnerable in debt and criminalize poverty. We all want safe neighborhoods, we won't get there by funding local government on the backs of our poorest neighborhoods.

We stand in solidarity of the CO’s at @NevadaDOC and their families when it comes to the working hours. It is putting the well-being of the staff and the incarcerated at risk. When will @GovSisolak step in to assist?

The staffing shortages within @NevadaDOC are putting the physical and mental wellbeing of staff and our incarcerated members at risk. This member wrote to us because he's so concerned about the hours staff are working at Warm Springs Correctional Center. It is not safe or fair.

We get sent hundreds of letters every month but we read every single one. They shape our work and our strategic priorities as an organization. Everything we do is in response to the needs of our incarcerated members (made up of 10% of @NevadaDOC's inmate population).

I used to be at the prison that houses death row inmates. I was the editor of the prison newspaper, so I got to speak with them often. In 2 yrs time, 4 death row inmates got their cases overturned, 2 were released. I don't understand governors continuing the death penalty
