@TacoSlayer69 @kiikazuu @socialepidopta I don't understand why we need to bind anime to reality when you can literally have whatever you want in a fictional world. Ironically , highschool settings give a lot of creative freedom to Japanese writers because every work setting in Japan is pure misery, even in anime.

The CBA is scolding an unnamed journalist for criticizing a judge, calling it a "crude effort at undermining public confidence in the judiciary." Since this is clearly about me: I will not apologize for my column about Justice Faisal Mirza two weeks ago.

The Anglo sees language only through the lens of “utility”. It’s merely a means of exchange. Nothing more, nothing less.

@JJ_McCullough @Unmade333 I feel like it would be more useful for the majority of Canadians to learn Spanish instead of French but of course that statement is equivalent to hate-speech among the Quebecois.

The Greeks should have just spoke Turkish. The Jews shouldn’t have revived Hebrew. The Latvians (and other former Soviet States) should have just continued speaking Russian. List goes on. Language is more than a tool. But you don’t get it.

@Anthony__Koch That is what it is. Language is a tool. Not a defining characteristic that makes or breaks a person. This is a discussion about respect if this is part of the CEO argument. About respecting regional distinction of an employee of a Quebec based company.

My take that pisses everyone off: It is impossible to be a Canadian nationalist while denigrating the significance or relevance of the French language. The single greatest differentiator between Canada and the United States is the existence of Québec.

The thing about Frieren is that people think it's "slow" when it's the actual opposite. It's an incredibly fast series that throws tons of information at you in short amounts of time. The difference with modern media is that it lets the scenes breathe. It doesn't do this intense fast editing that switches cameras constantly and doesn't have characters talk every second even if it's to throw a silly joke because there can't be any second without something on it or else the short attention span people get bored Characters talk to say relevant information and the camera goes at the speed it needs to to tell the story.

@GMSaxCandid Tbh the vote distribution will favour the Liberals the most. They'll benefit in seat count and probably secure a very strong opposition (30-40 seats) because of the CAQ's and QS's collapse.

@GMSaxCandid The real test isn't here. It's not even 2026. the PQ will win a majority, the PCQ willl perform very strongly and might even snatch 3rd or even 2nd place in vote %, but only get 6-10 seats at most because of vote distribution. The test is the referendum.
