That is the whole point. Other teams will now see this and will decide it is not worth the £200m hypothetical loss to try and gain an advantage

Blanket Single crewing is a short sighted policy pushed by senior officers who’d rather hide behind response times than fix real risks. Get somebody there. Stop the clock, ignoring that it can’t be resolved until others arrive. It reduces safety, wastes resources, and misleads the public. Thread 🧵

Keir Starmer won’t set out a timetable for his departure - very clear from David Lammy, I think this kills any speculation he could do it ahead of Makerfield “Keir Starmer remains the most resilient person I know in my life…There will be no timetable”

Tonda Eckert vs The Media: Spygate gets messy! 🤼‍♂️ Has Southampton boss Tonda Eckert made the Spygate situation worse with the way he's conducted himself in interviews this past week, maybe the Saints boss could've been a little more statesmanlike?! #SaintsFC #EFLChampionship

Middlesbrough head coach Kim Hellberg used the term “cheat” when asked about a member of Southampton’s staff being caught at Boro’s training ground on Thursday morning, just 48 hours before the Championship play-off semi-final between the two clubs. Southampton were charged on Friday by the EFL with “a breach of EFL regulations” following a complaint from Middlesbrough on Thursday evening. Southampton say they are “co-operating” with the EFL. Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert cut short his post-match press conference at the Riverside Stadium, having declined to answer fully questions on the subject. 📝 @mwalker2771 🔗 nytimes.com/athletic/72658…

So the EFL will have to make a decision by Monday tea time. How can they take it beyond Tuesday. What do you think will happen? They will take it very seriously as Gibson simply won't be satisfied with a daft fine from a club who's earned hundreds of millions.

@DHucks6 Do you think they should be thrown out the play offs? As a neutral fan?

Introducing Keir Starmer’s new adviser for women and girls. Who appears to think a man can be a type of woman 🤔 God help us. Trying to imagine the conversation that took place before Harriet Harman’s appointment. “You know what would really help boost your popularity right now, Keir? Appointing a women’s adviser who thinks men can be women.” Clip via @John_EdwardsUK

The Nottingham Inquiry: Here’s Anthony Rogers, Head of HMCPSI (His Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Inspectorate), being questioned about the section of their report covering the role of the Police FLOs. Please note though, this is just one example of his evidence. Shocking and unacceptable!

BBC PAID HIM 6X MORE. THE TRIBUNAL SAID THAT WAS ILLEGAL. THE BBC SAID IT WAS COMPLICATED. Samira Ahmed @SamiraAhmedUK presented Newswatch on @BBC for years. Same format. Same length. Same job. Read viewer feedback on camera, wrap it up, go home. Jeremy Vine @theJeremyVine did exactly the same thing on Points of View. She got £440 per episode. He got £3,000. Ahmed spent years trying to fix it quietly through internal BBC processes. The BBC said there was no problem. She filed for tribunal. In January 2020, the tribunal ruled unanimously in her favour. The BBC could not explain the difference. They tried. They argued Vine needed "a glint in the eye" and to be "cheeky." The tribunal said that was not a skill. It was a story the BBC told itself. The total underpayment was close to £700,000. Sarah Montague, another BBC woman, settled separately for around £400,000. The National Union of Journalists flagged around 70 more cases waiting resolution internally. After Ahmed won, 700 BBC women received pay rises. The BBC's statement after losing? They regretted it had gone to tribunal. Not that they paid a woman six times less than a man for the same work for years. Just that it became public. Sources: @guardian, @BBC, @IFJGlobal, Others
