@Kate_Retired @Possiblyinabit @NancyAFrench @DavidAFrench If you can't be clear in your mind about which path the country following is better, that's your indecisiveness. If you can decide which path is better, then take action to improve its likelihood to be chosen

Here's a longer explanation of @DavidAFrench's decision to vote for Harris as a conservative:
"I’m often asked by Trump voters if I’m “still conservative,” and I respond that I can’t vote for Trump precisely because I am conservative. I loathe sex abuse, pornography and adultery. Trump has made those vices mainstream in the GOP. I want to cultivate a culture that values human life from conception through natural death. Yet America became more brutal and violent during Trump’s term. I want to defend liberal democracy from authoritarian aggression. Trump will abandon Ukraine."

@ArtemisConsort @davidbessis For this thread, maybe a simpler more contrived example would be the ability to reach a single object. Height is bell curve but reaching an object is binary. Math may have several objects which when reached expand how one can think about math

@ArtemisConsort @davidbessis Random memory from an AI class I took 20 years ago writing a simple chess algo: with very small tweaking of the depth parameter, you go from birdbrain to GM in skill lvl quite rapidly. Probably a great analogy since search space grows exponentially with depth but interesting

@xiaoqianWX @itsandrewgao This seems to be correct by fluke, in the distance formula it uses g * 1 * (t - 1) which makes little sense.
Here is how gpt4 solves it with some prompt help

@itsandrewgao Tried this on a number of models, most failed, but interestingly, Deepseek v2 got this in 0shot on the second try

@TechNoirUK That's nothing compared to what they did to Miyazaki's Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind for its initial American release. Who the hell are these characters...?!

Replace each word with a rhyme so that all four have something in common:
