The Atkinson Gifted Academy clap-out ceremony, a beloved end-of-year tradition, took place this afternoon. Students and teachers from both Atkinson Gifted Academy and Tarver, along with Acting Superintendent Dr. Alfredo Barrantes, lined the hallways to cheer for the 8th graders.

Today, Peralta Elementary hosted an end-of-year literacy event! Students went home with 10 FREE books 📚, a reading T-shirt 👕, and raffle tickets 🎟️. Parents also learned simple ways to support reading at home. Proud to keep students reading all summer long!

The Cartwright Governing Board has appointed Dr. Barrantes as Acting Superintendent, effective April 13. With an Ed.D. from ASU, Montessori certification, and 12+ years in Cartwright leadership, he brings proven experience in student achievement, operations, & school leadership.
