Insanely clever marketing. It’s a water stencil so what they’re doing is power washing the sidewalk and creating the words with the dirt that remains.

@and_kell Doctors have their own complex neurology. 🤦

My son was released yesterday afternoon. New med on board. Need to follow up with his neurologist. The staff neurologist was an older gentleman who explained this can just be a temporary addition & it's ultimately up to Sam's neurologist. After he spoke with me he went over to the bed and greeted my son by extending his hand for a handshake. My son had his hands under the blanket but raised his right hand to "shake" the doctor's hand from under the blanket. Then the doctor says "can you shake your left knee back and forth"? I then said that my son has apraxia & likely wouldn't respond to that command (which he didn't). Explaining what apraxia is-not being able to control one's body although understanding what is being asked. The doctor said he knew what apraxia is but was assessing my son. Assessing for what? You asked him to do something. He didn't respond by doing what you asked. What is your assessment? As I continued to explain how people with apraxia have been sold short as having cognitive deficiencies because they can't control their bodies. Assuming they don't understand things. He then pulled out the "I'm the doctor" card & said he's treated thousands of people like my son & he knows what he's doing. 😳 I retreated & stopped trying to share something with someone who thinks they know it all. 🤷‍♀️ We've got a long way to go with medical people. 🫤 My son locked eyes with me as this was all happening & I just felt his gratitude of me advocating for him. ❤️ I wish I knew the importance of apraxia years ago. But because experts told me my son was severely cognitively impaired we treated him that way. That was wrong. Spelling changed everything. PRESUME COMPETENCE. COACH THE MOTOR.

Two weeks ago my son was in his group spelling session where he told his practioner MIGHT SEIZE. I made a post about it. He told us the next day a few things of what he experiences. "I’M NINETY PERCENT SURE MY BODY FLOODS FROM SO MUCH LACTIC ACID." I'm sorry to report my son had back to back seizures at spelling on Thursday. They were different from the usual. He kept his eyes open when he usually falls asleep & he was unresponsive. It was terrifying to witness. After about 10 minutes he went into a second seizure as the paramedics had just arrived. We called for an ambulance because this seizure was different. He has been hospitalized since having all kinds of tests run. After taking some blood in the emergency room they ran some tests. The doctor told me he had very elevated lactic acid. That's exactly what my son said happens. I will never question the authenticity of spelling & the fact our kids are "in there" if given a means to communicate. Please pray that my son can come home soon & we figure these seizures out. ❤️ x.com/i/status/20525…

My campus garden has a “Harvest Day” every Wednesday during the summer. Whatever is ready to pick is free to pick 🙂 Someone brought a TON of these flowers from her home garden to give away last Wednesday. I have no idea what they are, but they’re nice 🙂

I would love to share my experience with the hope that it could lend some clarity — though I think it’s a very IMPORTANT topic for everyone to understand, clarity or not. My mom died of sepsis last year. What started as an ear infection, somehow the bacteria from it made its way to her bloodstream. Once an infection takes ahold (poisons) your blood, it starts spreading that bacteria to all of your major organs. This is EXTREMELY dangerous, especially if you have a weak immune system. (My mom was in remission from stage 4 cancer and Kyle Busch was just coming off pneumonia — which weakened their immune systems, making them more vulnerable). When your immune system can’t fight (or keep up with) the bacteria rapidly spreading through your body, the bacteria wins and will start shutting down your organs as it tries to survive — and it happens very rapidly. I saw my mom 2 days before and talked to her 1 day before she went into sepsis shock. She was totally fine and even started taking antibiotics for her ear infection. Then she didn’t show up to work. A family member went to check on her at home and she was found unresponsive in her bed. She was rushed to the ER and put on life support. Her kidneys, lungs and heart all shut down — resulting in a stroke, heart attack and brain damage. Because of the sepsis and we lost her. It was very sudden and unexpected, just like Kyle’s situation. I knew nothing about sepsis until my mom passed away. We tried everything to save her, but God was ready for her. Sepsis kills more people than cancer and I wish the seriousness of it was talked about more. Had I known, I would’ve told my mom to stay have her doctor test her blood when they treated her for an ear infection. I wish my mom’s doctor told my mom about the dangers of sepsis and screened her blood right then — perhaps they would’ve caught it in time. I am NOT a doctor or medical professional, but my experience taught me how to spot the early signs that could potentially save a life. Some early signs of sepsis shock: • High Fever • Headache • Confusion/Mental decline/lethargy • Rapid heart rate and/or breathing • Decreased urination • Feeling extremely ill (intense pain/weakness) • Pale, cold, clammy skin If you or someone you know has a weakened immune system and they have (or feel like they have) an infection of any kind, PLEASE take the infection seriously. Ask your (or their) doctor about the potential of sepsis and to consider it as part of the treatment for an infection. (I’m sorry this is so long and I appreciate anyone who took the time to read it. I hope it has helped in anyway)
Paul Fleuret@RealAbs1776

Kyle Busch died of sepsis caused by pneumonia. I’m sorry, but this makes little to no sense. With the money and access to treatment he had - someone either missed something or misdiagnosed something. How was he so sick with pneumonia that it became sepsis, yet 2 days prior he was kart racing with his kid? If his pneumonia were that far along, would he not have been damn near bed ridden? And what was his team doing letting him race while being that sick to begin with? thegatewaypundit.com/2026/05/nascar…

Cash price of doctor visit vs insurance price. When I've paid cash for my daughter's or my own medical services, I always ask what the price would be if they billed insurance. Alveoloplasty done by an oral surgeon - Insurance billed per area = $360 - Cash price per area = $90 Physical Therapy Session - Insurance billed = $300 - Cash price = $90 Chiropractor - Insurance billed = $120 - Cash price = $40 I've asked why insurance companies are charged 3x more than a cash paying customer. It's a hassle working with insurance companies, dealing with denials or billing delays, going back and forth explaining costs or coding, and risk of non-payment. Basically, paying cash cuts way down on administrative costs.

Good Saturday morning, friends. I’m back! Meaning I slept for the first time in months. My brain even feels rested. I apologize for my bad attitude of recent. Larry’s death and other unexpected circumstances took all the joy out of life. I didn’t even want to spend time with God. But many have been praying for me and God answered. I woke up and feel like a dark cloud has been lifted. I’m not going to sit and watch the world pass me by anymore. God has a plan for me as he does for you too. Father God, I am sorry for my anger towards you. When all along you have been the only guiding light in my life besides Larry. I can’t spend my life mourning him when I know he’s in your loving care. Help me to honor him and you by being a woman of faith. I pray for those reading this post and feeling lost too. Lord let your Holy Spirit shine down. The power of your love can move mountains. Give us the faith as small as a mustard seed. We pray this all in Jesus’ name. AMEN

@BenBikmanPhD Someday it will be shown that managing and feeling our emotions will have more impact on health than any other factor. Too many people bypass that and it causes stress.

Stress (that is, the hormones associated with it: cortisol and epinephrine) is a cardinal cause of insulin resistance. It's capable of causing insulin resistance indpendently of other variables. Some have asked me why I don't focus on stress as much as I do other causes, such as and most especially chronically elevated insulin. I don't focus on stress because there's often so little a person can do about it. If stress is a lever that influences insulin resistance, it's a slippery one--it's just so difficult to understand what's driving the elevated stress hormones and, thus, difficult to change it.

Is having medical insurance really worth the cost? My retired hubby decided he wanted to find a job to keep busy and active. They offer medical insurance. We haven't had medical insurance for a few years now because we believe it's a scam. I monitor our vitals and blood sugar at home. If we want labs or want to see a chiropractor, we pay cash. In the past few years, I've had one online doctor visit which cost me $50, and I was prescribed an antibiotic and pain med which cost me $20. Labs usually cost anywhere from $30-$150 depending on what I order. Chiropractor is usually $30 per visit. This medical insurance being offered through his new job is actually better than the medical insurance he had from his state job, but I don't even know if it's worth it. Monthly premium for both of us for the most basic package = $240 Annual share of cost per person = $3500 Routine preventative visits with labs are 100% covered. Any other visits, diagnostics, specialists, labs, ER or Urgent Care visits, etc, won't be covered until we've paid our share of cost for the year. So, our annual cost before insurance covers would be: Premium $2880/year + Share of cost $3500 = $6380 We'd pay out of pocket $6380 per year before our insurance would cover any expenses other than preventative care. But, I order labs maybe once a year = $100 We see a chiropractor maybe once a month = $30 $460/year vs $6380/year If we didn't have insurance and something serious happened to us, we would have a big medical debt. But, we keep ourselves healthy, and we don't take prescription meds, so is having medical insurance really worth the cost? I don’t think it is.

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

On January 6th I followed the crowd into the Capitol and shouted. Police stood by the whole time, hanging out with us and sometimes directing us places. At one point near the House Chambers I was walking downstairs when a trio of some special section, secret service looking men started pointing guns in my direction. Confused and annoyed, I walked the other way and when I saw a normal police officer asked him why they were doing that. He informed me a protestor (Ashli Babbit) had been killed, and advised me to leave the building. I walked towards the exit and after a short rest on the bench I left. I harmed nobody and damaged no property that day and complied with all police orders. What I received for that was a pre-dawn raid at my parents house, where my 1 month post-partum wife and I were staying, on Biden's first day in office. His DOJ had signed the order to arrest me 3 hours after his inauguration. In the subsequent weeks I received death threats online and harassing phone calls, something that would be ongoing for the next few years. I was banned from Meta and Paypal. My wife and I were both debanked by PNC and banned from Airbnb. My wife was detained at the airport for hours with our newborn daughter. I was charged with 4 misdemeanors and the 1512 unconstitutional felony. The government offered to drop the misdemeanors if I pled to the felony. The felony was a lie, so I refused and went to trial. At trial the prosecution for 2 days straight was allowed to show footage to the jury of things that occurred around the Capitol I wasn't present for "for context." When we asked to put forward footage that contradicted the prosecution's "context" we were not allowed. They could show what they wanted, we could not. Police officers were then put on the stand for the next 2 days who cried about their experiences. I had no idea who they were. They admitted they never saw me or interacted with me. Nevertheless like every other J6er, I lost, and was sentenced to 4 years and $22k in fines and restitution. Yet even after the Supreme Court overturned the felony, the judge would not let me out until my misdemeanor sentences of a year were maxed out. Because she can't count she actually kept me in longer - to the extent she intervened at the last minute to make the prison release me on a Sunday, something that is against BOP rules. My family sat outside the prison gates the Friday before practically the whole day waiting in vain because of this pettiness. But the government wasn't satisfied with their pound of flesh: after my release they took me back in for resentencing, to attempt to have me resentenced after the fact to my misdemeanors consecutively, so I'd be taken from my family again and have another 1.5 years behind bars. This time I won, as they had no legal precedent and it skirted on violating double jeopardy since I had served my full prison time. Even still, it cast a cloud over the holidays and cost me another 20k my family couldn't afford. People ask whether prison was bad, and yeah of course prison sucked. It was a hard and violent place. I was present for a stabbing, and was lucky to avoid two fights and a race war. But dealing with Biden's DOJ and the DC Judiciary was the real trauma - they would grind down your spirit by weaponizing the legal system and use the endless procedure to bankrupt you. I had nightmares for months after release that I had somehow been hit with new charges. By the time I was pardoned by President Trump, I had spent literally every single day of Biden's presidency either in prison or under some form of supervision. I had incurred over $300k in legal fees and over $1 million in lost business. It was a reign of terror, and yet it was a mere foreshadowing of what they had planned for anyone else who opposed them under Kamala. The country should never forget it.
