@mkmalehorn @Super70sSports To be fair, he was not a normal guy who just snapped…if you watch the movie it was pretty clear he had significant anger issues and made his family uncomfortable well before that day

@geneclemons @MaalMaalie It’s no secret John Harbaugh is a Trump guy. I do think he’s still responsible as a leader to navigate this and keep it from being a long term issue.

@chakazullo @MaalMaalie The head coach lost favor with the locker room in Baltimore around the same time he disclosed his relationship with the president. Less than a year later he was out. That will not happen here for obvious reasons but the head coach has no power here.

Lawrence Tynes is completely tone deaf right here. He's doing what he claims Carter is doing except Carter has every right to be dumbfounded by the actions he addressed. This is not something he saw in the lockerroom and brought to the public, this was done for the world to see.
Lawrence Tynes@lt4kicks

The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal. Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work.

@SWENUpNorth @geneclemons @MaalMaalie He can do whatever he wants. It’s a free country. But certain topics (politics being one of them) are a lightning rod. Certain people are more of a lightning rod than others. If he does this as the QB of Ole Miss…no one bats an eyelash. In NY, it’s an issue.

@geneclemons @MaalMaalie So Dart can’t introduce the president of the United States?? He can’t have that honor without disrupting a locker room??? Sounds like these guys are incredibly fragile with too much time on their hands 💁‍♀️

It will definitely be addressed and you are right, there will be a loooong conversation but now there is something known that will likely change relationships forever. It does not mean people will not do their job, it will still be professional, but the relationships will be different.

@kurt13warner He was also the only QB I saw that could solve Seattle defense…because he knew where to throw the ball immediately. Every other playoff QB was wildly confused by Seattle

@mikemoviez To me it’s the scene outside the hospital where he’s lighting the cigarette of the very rattled Enzo the baker, who couldn’t even light his own cigarette. Michael notices that his own hands are steady as can be - like he was made for this sort of stuff.

A couple of days ago I posted about The Godfather, asking what moment best represented Michael's mental acceptance and transition from Michael to Don Corleone. I think this scene is one of the best candidates (along with the restaurant scene).

@rpondiscio Absolutely in favor of raising teacher salaries but it has to be communicated properly because it is done by raising taxes. Which is always tremendously unpopular

@Scaramucci It’s very similar to Democrats thinking it was impossible for Trump to get elected a second time. Wasn’t a rational decision at all…but emotional

Trump said something to me in 2016 that I’ve never forgotten. He asked if I thought the British were going to Brexit. I said no because economically it made no sense. He said you’re looking at it as an economic decision. It’s not. It’s an emotional one. Three weeks later, June 2016, they Brexited. That was the moment I understood something real about the reality of politics in the US and the UK. Would I be surprised if Farage became Prime Minister? Not really. The Conservatives had their run. Labour is struggling. We’re in an anti-incumbency era across the entire West and Reform has never actually held power. So people shrug and say it can’t get any worse, let’s try something new. I hope it doesn’t happen. I think their policies are asinine. But I said Brexit couldn’t happen either.

@FieldMedic4077 @JamieMetzl Because a pretty large percentage of the Republican Party identifies as MAGA. I think a much smaller percentage of Democrats identify as far left. Also many moderates voted for Trump this time thinking he would help the economy but that proved to be wrong

@JamieMetzl My question is this: why is America ok with the far right crazies but not the far left crazies? Why is it ok to embrace a Republican party filled with racists and neo-Nazis but not a Democrat party that contains socialists and the pro-Palestine crowd?

Great that the DNC has released is internal autopsy of what went wrong in the 2024 campaign, If it’s not clear enough, here’s what went wrong: 👉 everyone in America could see that Joe Biden did not have the physical or mental capacity to complete a second term. 👉 few people in the Democratic Party had the wherewithal to demand that Biden announce he will not seek reelection and that there needed be a competitive primary. 👉 by waiting so long to drop out after the disastrous debate performance from which there was no return, Biden destroyed the possibility of a competitive primary. 👉 by anointing Kamala Harris with no competitive primary, the party ensured that no one other than hard-core Democrats would understand why she was the nominee. 👉 by failing to differentiate herself from any policies of the Biden administration, Kamala Harris made herself the ultimate establishment candidate when the electrate wanted change. 👉 by failing to separate herself from the madness of the far left, Kamala Harris became the de facto far left candidate. 👉 in large part, the American people hated woke so much they were willing to elect a convicted felon rather than someone they perceived as being aligned with the crazies. It shouldn’t take 200 pages and months of internal civil war to make clear what went wrong and how we Democrats need to do better going forward. If we don’t kick the bigoted far left skunks out of our big tent, they will spoil the party. If we don’t have a positive vision for all Americans that fills people with hope and a sense of common purpose, there will be no reason for people to support Democratic candidates other than antipathy to Donald Trump and his many minions. I believe the Democratic Party has the potential to rejuvenate itself, but only if it learns very serious lessons from our catastrophic failures.

@Super70sSports Anybody who thinks he's not the best player in NFL history, has no idea about football. He changed everything. The Giants. Defence. Offence. The NFL. Edge Rushing. Linebackers. Defensive construction. Offensive construction. Bill Belichick. He's the Jordan times Pele X 100.

Clearly, Congressman Tom Kean is conscious. He's aware of what's going on. Now he's just trying to clean up his self-made PR disaster. Not sure if he's getting bad advice or if he's overruling his advisors. But this will go down as one of the weirdest political stories of 2026.

@NFLFrascella They already planned on using the TE and RB to catch passes more. Way too many holes to address to focus on WR. Lively will catch 60 passes in this offense
