@SW_Help @runlikeduck This is incorrect advice - there are plans. Contactless is coming to Walton as part of one of the next two phases of rollout, but it is unknown as yet which of the next two phases it is in, also no dates are yet fixed for this.

@commuterdramas @SW_Help No, it wouldn’t. With the trespass incident where it was, the Kingston loop services would soon ensure all the Windsor side would be ruined too. Nothing could be done here to avoid most of the SWR network eventually falling apart.

@commuterdramas @SW_Help Most SWR services are interlinked - an (eg) Woking train will also do GLD via Cobham and Chessington services - that means a problem at a point like Raynes Park will eventually mess the entire network up by either trains delaying others or being in the wrong place to run services

@SW_Help What I don't understand is why trains not going via the Wimbledon/Surbiton line were also affected? Eg Reading, Windsor etc

Earlier today we introduced the first of our freshly refurbished Class 458/4 trains, which will initially be used to operate services between London Waterloo and Weybridge, via Hounslow and Twickenham, as our Head of Fleet Delivery, James Wale explains 👇

I had a meeting in London tomorrow but just seen there are train strikes tomorrow I’m not frequent train user - would you say “don’t even bother?” Definitely won’t drive as it’s a terrible journey West Malling - Charing Cross Just hope some of you know more than I do 🙄

@B0bJobB0B @Se_Railway It appears to be a person hit by a train. If you are on a train in the area experience suggests you won’t be moving for 90-120 minutes. If you are waiting for a train the service will be most unlikely to be resolved properly today. Thoughts with the driver & family of the victim.

@Se_Railway The 10,000s of people waiting for trains need a rough ETA. Vague reports of an incident are of zero value or help in deciding what actions to take. Do we wait because it will be cleared in 30mins or do we find alternative transport home?

@BusAndTrainUser If you're at Loughton, you might be able to explain this - Yesterday my mate saw this single decker 20. He asked the driver of a double decker 20 what this was doing there. The driver didn't know, said it was another bus company and that he had to ask them to move off the stand?

@DoseofDarwin To be considered in the same occupation as Chaplin, Sellers, Monkhouse, Dave Allen, Eric & Ernie, Flanagan Gervais and Carr is an insult to those truly great comedians

@MrsGriffMusic I know you are married and all that, but as someone who loves solo travel/holidays, I can certainly vouch for their therapeutic qualities. They are a brilliant reset for the mind :)
