We have the Red Map! This isn’t just a trophy. This is a reward and the cost was high. 
This trophy represents the work and the sacrifices nobody sees. We took a team from our small school that lost 6 starters last year and made it to the Championship game in Oxford. Are we the best team? Not yet. We’ve still got work to do. This team fought through the losers bracket in the blistering heat. We battled and beat talented teams that were just fundamentally better than us. We were knocked down, but we got back up. The ‘26 Kinston team is one of the best I’ve seen. Nothing but respect for those girls. They earned the Blue.. But us?
We earned the RED. We’ll be back next year and I refuse to leave without the first-place trophy.

Southern University is getting a GREAT ONE!

Pretty awesome stuff to see a guy come in year 1, and not only have the program’s winningest season in 12 years - but to also build a culture the team says “brought the spark back in this sport”. @Coach_DBowling is a top 2 coach in this league, and he’s not 2.

Words cannot begin to express how proud I am of this group. Not only did they set the cornerstone for the future of this program, but they cemented their legacy in terms like "process" & "buy-in" that will carry them forward in life. A true testament to their character & mindset!

@coachwwest And then there are those who don't do it the right way (illegal recruiting, passing the buck/blame, sitting back and letting others do the "work" for them, etc), and are stealing money rather than understanding they have the greatest job in the world

The average high school head football coach stipend is around $7,000. Fluctuating heavily For that, they’re expected to coach year-round, run a program, mentor kids, manage parents, recruit their own halls, fundraise, break down film, coordinate staffs, and be available almost 24/7. Football coaches are grossly underpaid for what we ask of them.

Being a good coach means telling players what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. Being coachable means receiving correction without mistaking it for criticism.
