@DougPolkVids It’s ashame that’s where the world is Doug. But the most “tolerant” people and actually the complete opposite.
I don’t think other peoples ignorance should stop you from sharing what you think! Just my 2 cents.

In 2020, I voted for Biden. I only posted about it after the election. I enjoyed lots of positive comments and support about it. Foolishly I thought this was because people liked me sharing my opinion.
In 2024, I voted for Trump. I had a single tweet about it after the election. Since then, I have recieved thousands of attacks on me across all the social platforms. DM's telling me to kill myself. Threads about how I'm the problem with America. I personally passed the gambling tax. I am the enemy. I am a nazi. You name it.
This has been a learning experience for me in a few ways.
1) I dont view people differently based on who they voted for. They are trying to make their best choice. But that is NOT how other people view it. A vote against my guy means I hate you.
2) Its particularly bad to post anything indicating support for the right. Anyone who voted R is evil and only did so for nefarious reasons.
3) I do not think its worth sharing political opinions unless you actually enter politics. Who knows if that will happen for me down the road, but I dont see myself taking such tremendous grief again for just sharing my opinions on the election.

I’ve heard all the hype about Weapons. Planned my entire weekend around watching it. I didn’t realize it wasn’t available to stream yet. So I went with Sinners instead. I may be like 6 months late with this critique but that was one of the most overhyped overrated movies of all time. If you say that movie was great you have no movie credibility with me.

@stoolpresidente Weapons was quite possibly one of the best movies I’ve seen in theaters since Covid. Highly recommend and just a fantastic movie!

@SecDuffy Please stop this Real ID rollout for domestic travel. It is completely absurd to make us pay more money for new ID’s when we already have ID’s. This would be incredibly helpful Mr. Secretary

Tell me how we can Make Traveling with Family Great Again!
There’s no better place to start a family than the USA so I want to make it easier for you to travel with your kids.
Here’s your chance to tell me, your Transportation Secretary, what I can do to make travel easier for your family. Send me your best ideas!

Some of y’all are dumb as rocks 😂
I grew up listening to NWA daily as a teen.
Daily.
Before that, I listened to Grand Master Flash, Dougie Fresh, etc.
I was in two rap groups and went by KID MCD in MC-action and the Double Stuffed Oreo Boys.
I love rap.
Love 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and also RIP Biggie and Tupac.
My VLOG intro is always rap.
I simply didn’t think the Kendrick Lamar halftime show rose to the moment.
No chorus.
No hooks.
Visually mediocre production.
I didn’t enjoy it, and I truly expected to enjoy it. Was shocked it never elevated past the slow start.
If you enjoyed it, God Bless, but for me it was the worst halftime show I’ve ever seen.
Some of you jumped to the most absurd conclusions about why I didn’t like it, your brains are just broken!

Is this the worst half time show in the history of the SuperBowl or am I missing something?

BREAKING: Trump is imposing a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico starting Feb 1.
Canada supplies the U.S. with key goods like maple syrup, lumber, aluminum, oil, and paper products, while Mexico is a major source of fresh produce, dairy, cars, and medicines.
The result? Expect higher prices at the grocery store, gas pump, and hardware store. Cars, appliances, and even homes will cost more as building materials like lumber and aluminum skyrocket.
Tariffs don’t punish other countries—they hit American consumers the hardest. Families will pay more for essentials while inflation is already a concern.
This reckless move will hurt your wallet, not theirs.

Today, President Trump will issue a series of Executive Orders that deny the climate emergency facing our country in favor of a phony “energy emergency”. These performative acts show the pervasive influence that the fossil fuel industry will have in the United States over the next four years. But make no mistake, the global Sustainability Revolution is unstoppable.
As was the case in 2017, withdrawing the US from the Paris Agreement is a shortsighted abdication of leadership that will only serve to put our nation at a disadvantage. Clinging to the industries of the past instead of embracing the industries of the future may boost the short-term profits of fossil fuel companies, but it will come at the expense of the broader American economy - including American workers who risk being left behind.
This is the first of what will be many attempts to ignore reality and try to stall the world’s unstoppable and irreversible move to a clean energy economy. But these proclamations are not reflective of our political and economic reality. These efforts to roll back progress – particularly the hugely popular clean energy investments in the Inflation Reduction Act – will be met with opposition from both political parties.
That’s why, in the coming weeks, months, and years, climate leaders and activists must not be deterred or distracted. From extreme weather disasters like Hurricane Helene and the still burning Los Angeles wildfires, to the growing number of climate refugees, to competitiveness in the global economy, the climate crisis will have profound consequences for the United States over the next four years.
If the new Administration won’t lead on this issue, it is up to all of us. Now is the time for Governors, Mayors, business leaders, investors, and activists to put their heads down and do the work that will advance the climate solutions our nation and the world so urgently need. We were able to keep up the pace of climate action during the first Trump Administration, and it is urgent that we take up the mantle once again.
