ETHBTC shows about how long the classic "bull market" lasted...memes + BTC/SOL lead the sector for 2023 and 2024, and in 2025 ETH and the smaller majors (XRP, BNB, etc) got to have their moments…but it was short lived It's reasonable to also assume earlier seller exhaustion

Right call, wrong execution Here's me in May repeating my thesis that BTC would top at $125k I called and bid the bottom the hour it came in 2022 BTC topped at $126k in October, and I did not sell BOTH of my calls AND my first execution were perfect…but ALL THAT MATTERS is final execution… …and I botched it Now, it's okay: even if you exclude the BTC I held from before 2022, my average cost still has me up ~3.5x…but had I correctly sold the top, I could have DOUBLED my BTC exposure had I bid the bottom Even simply selling the top and buying back TODAY would represent a nearly 60% increase in my BTC stack The lesson: you can predict everything right, and then simply lack the courage, confidence, or conviction to act on it...the only way to build up these skills is through practice, and even practiced people like me fail all the time I see people act like trading is a linear skill that they can develop to the point where they never make a mistake...I suppose this is true for a handful of individuals, but they're all billionaires like Buffett, Cohen, Simons, and Soros...it's not reasonable to assume you or me will be like them So, at the end of the day, cut yourself some slack. Even top traders like me get it wrong :)

There's a physicist at Stanford named Safi Bahcall who modeled this exact principle and the math is wild. He calls it "phase transitions in human networks." When you're stationary, your probability of a lucky event is limited to your existing surface area: the people you already know, the places you already go, the ideas you've already been exposed to. Your opportunity window is fixed. When you move, your collision rate with new nodes in a network increases nonlinearly. Double your movement (new conversations, new cities, new projects) and your probability of a serendipitous encounter doesn't double. It roughly quadruples. Because each new node connects you to their entire network, not just to them. Richard Wiseman ran a 10-year study at the University of Hertfordshire tracking self-described "lucky" and "unlucky" people. The single biggest differentiator wasn't IQ, education, or family money. Lucky people scored significantly higher on one trait: openness to experience. They talked to strangers more, varied their routines more, and said yes to invitations at nearly twice the rate. The "unlucky" group followed the same routes, ate at the same restaurants, and talked to the same 5 people. Their networks were closed loops. No new inputs, no new collisions. Luck isn't random.
