• 15 hired bodyguards, drivers & gunmen
• Spent ₹5 lakh/month for whole setup. He conducted fake inspections of private schools & extorted lakhs over made-up violations. Then promised a ₹450 crore govt contract to a businessman & took ₹5 crore + 2 luxury cars as bribe. Even crazier: A real SDM once asked for his ID card. Lalit slapped him twice then officer never questioned him again. He had 4 girlfriends.
3 became pregnant. All believed he was a real IAS officer. The scam collapsed after the Railway Protection Force caught a courier at Gorakhpur Railway Station carrying ₹99.9 lakh cash allegedly meant as a bribe for a “2022-batch IAS officer”. Police checked the database. No such officer existed. By then, Lalit had allegedly cheated 40+ people of several crores. Even inside jail, he kept pretending to be powerful — offering fake bail help to prisoners. Prisoners nicknamed him: “Lalit 420” 🤐

The owner of the house promised to pay ₹3 lakh as compensation to the family. However, the victim’s father received only ₹1.5 lakh in his bank account. When he questioned the owner, the owner revealed that he had handed over the full ₹3 lakh to TMC leaders, including TMC Gram Panchayat leader Mana Kundu. Victim's father tried to file complaint against them but no one listened. After the change of Govt, the victim’s father went to the police station along with BJP leaders and filed a complaint against five TMC leaders. The owner later revealed that the TMC leaders had instructed him to transfer ₹1.5 lakh to the victim’s family through the bank while taking the remaining ₹1.5 lakh in cash for themselves. For TMC, even death is an opportunity for extortion.
