@SawyerMerritt Absolutely nailed it. RDW added really useful features like tutorials, stats, and showing upfront what it’s going to do. Even though I drive almost entirely on FSD, there’s still more to improve.

This is why I was excited to start seeing FSD videos come from Europe, because these types of scenarios pretty much don't exist in the US/Canada. Many parts of Europe have very old and small roads, and very walkable cities, creating challenging driving scenarios with lots of people, bikes, walking into the street, etc, especially in Amsterdam. Based on what we've seen in the last week, FSD is nailing all of it. Its situational awareness is great, despite the all chaos and variables in this type of environment.

Testing @Tesla #FSDEurope with @KRoelandschap in Amsterdam. Driving through this chaotic little street, with cyclists and pedestrians behaving erratically. And FSD just takes it as a champ. Human would be nervous, FSD just say "nah, I got this"! It sees everything around itself and reacts very safely to the vulnerable road users. Awesome! @teslaeurope @wholemars @SawyerMerritt @elonmusk @TeslaOwnersNL @Tslachan @aelluswamy

First ride with FSD was super smooth overall! Only note: it could use some fine-tuning on speed bumps—I had to disengage once because it took one too fast.

NEWS: Tesla’s 2026.8.6 release is halted due to issues with the rear camera screen display. For those who got it, there are some big changes to FSD on HW3!

@elonmusk unleash the FSD Beast upon Europe’s roads. Let us not linger in longing whilst others ride forth in wonder. Grant us this boon, and our gratitude shall be boundless.

Code was never the hard part. Deciding what to build and why was. AI just makes that clearer. Original thought is still the domain of humans. Product and engineers just operate at a higher level now. Another reason @cloudflare is hiring 1111 interns. More humans, more ideas
Boris Cherny@bcherny

@big_duca Someone has to prompt the Claudes, talk to customers, coordinate with other teams, decide what to build next. Engineering is changing and great engineers are more important than ever.

If you need Kubernetes, you'll know. If you're not sure, you don't need it. Every startup I consult with asks: 'Should we use Kubernetes?' My questions: - How many services? (Usually: 3-8) - How many engineers? (Usually: 4-12) - Deploy frequency? (Usually: 2-5 times/week) - Current problems? (Usually: none with infrastructure) They want Kubernetes because: - It's what big companies use - Resume building - Fear of missing out What they actually need: - ECS Fargate or App Runner - GitHub Actions - Good monitoring Teams that need Kubernetes know they need it: - 50+ microservices - Multiple teams - Complex networking requirements - Custom scheduling needs - Already outgrew simpler options Lesson: Don't adopt complexity hoping to grow into it. Adopt it when you're drowning without it.

If you're a Claude Pro or Max user and haven't tried out Claude Code on the web, there's no better time. Head over to claude.ai/code and look in the right hand corner. We're giving Pro and Max users $250 and $1000 in free credits to push CC on the Web to the limit!
