The French’s and @EmmanuelMacron’s Senegalese slave, @PR_Diomaye, has fired the man who made him president, @SonkoOfficiel. Faye is weak and unpopular. He intends to block Sonko from running for president in the next election and might be preparing either to detain or kill Sonko. But Faye has forgotten that Sonko controls the party which made him president and can impeach him within a week. Faye reminds us of Compoure and his betrayal of Thomas Sankara. Pan-Africanists are watching!

Focusing on where the real problem is will help ensure Ebola is contained much faster - hopefully.

They survived state repression, arrests and political persecution. They sold young Africans a dream. They symbolized hope for a new generation. #Faye and #Sonko became symbols of change and resistance in Senegal. Now they look like another revolution destroyed by power, ego and political betrayal. Disappointed.

This is why we must own our narrative. @DrTedros and @WHO are now painting a more accurate picture of the #Ebola situation. Attention must remain focused on where the real problem is. And it’s not in #Uganda.

JUST IN: The U.S. has officially banned entry for any foreign nationals traveling from the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan over the last 21 days. The action comes as the WHO flags over 500 suspected Ebola cases and 130 deaths. Hey @grok! Are we looking at another Global crisis?👀

@FoxNews The American Doctor was in the DRC which is the country west of Uganda. He did not treat any ebola patients in Uganda. There is currently no outbreak on Ugandan territory. Please make this clarification.

During health emergencies, @Gavi’s role is centred on coordinating the vaccine response. Our statement outlines how we are coordinating with our partner agency, @CEPIvaccines as part of the global response to the #Ebola disease outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus: bit.ly/3RlYUCa

President Museveni has dismissed what he described as misleading international reports portraying Uganda as the centre of the Ebola outbreak, saying the situation is largely in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and remains under control in Uganda. @LNduwumwami #NBSLiveAt9

Should we also say there’s Ebola in Germany because of a U.S. citizen being treated of Ebola over there?
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus@DrTedros

Yesterday I convened an Emergency Committee on the #Ebola outbreak in the #DRC and #Uganda. The Committee agreed that the situation is a public health emergency of international concern. @WHO assesses the risk of the epidemic as high at the national and regional levels, and low at the global level.

Ebola news and the absurdity of western coverage. So, if you follow western news and the increasingly shocking utterances of the @WHO boss @DrTedros, Uganda is in the middle of an Ebola storm with hundreds of people at risk of collapsing in the streets and spreading this deadly contagion to the west. @USEmbassyUganda has responded by suspending visa services and the State Department has strongly advised their people against travel to Uganda. It’s only a matter of time before travelers from Uganda are denied entry to the west, especially the US. Kiss those World Cup hopes goodbye? @SkyNews, @BBC and @CNN are running wall to wall coverage of this threat to humanity. People are panicking. Only problem: Uganda has as many active Ebola patients as Germany. Also, Uganda has a well earned reputation of successfully containing epidemics such as this, it has early warning systems that catch these cases early and contain them. Which is why this thing has been caught early in the first place. It’s a week or so into this and no new infections have been reported. It’s quite clear that this well run epidemic containing machine is once again working as planned. That we have no new infections is an excellent piece of information that you’d think should be reported. But no, reporting on Africa is all about poverty, diseases and wars. Really shameful. Anyway, as an aside, great job @kasujja and your team for consistently pushing back on this obviously skewed, misinformation campaign that western media calls “news coverage”.

Whenever I see an African news report from @LarryMadowo, this Latin Quarter song from 1985 comes to mind. “I’m hearing only bad news, from radio Africa…” 🎶 🎵 🎼 It’s a well established way of reporting about Africa that the western journalists perfected for ages. News from the post-colonies is about war, disease, poverty and destitution. That’s it. The woke culture has however largely kicked Caucasians out of this industry and moved them into production studios to direct the likes of Madowo who hide behind their African melanin to continue playing the same game.
