I generally do not make posts like this. But the sheer incompetence displayed by this institution deserves more publicity. You may have heard the news about the CBSE results and the subpar performance of their on-screen marking system (OSM) forcing students to apply for re-evaluations. However, have you heard about the fact their OSM portal was fundamentally compromised? Nisarga Adhikary, a 19-year-old *hobbyist* cybersecurity researcher dove into the frontend source code for their platform, and the vulnerabilities he found were appalling. A master password that enables OTP bypass was just sitting there in the raw JS source code of the frontend, enabling anyone to sign in as an evaluator and modify marks. Nisarga did the right thing and responsibly disclosed the vulnerabilities several months ago, to multiple authorities, but the majority were never patched. Leading him to go public with this blog - lnkd.in/gHVqrcnP CBSE have come forward and claimed that this was just a "test-site", however there is video evidence of the same password being used in the production site to access real data of examiners. Besides, a master password being embedded in the client is a signal for a complete breakdown of proper engineering practices. Mind you, this isn't some Claude mythos grade genius-level hack. This is something a 14-year-old could find, it is genuinely concerning that a platform that is responsible for deciding the futures of over 4 million students has vulnerabilities of this caliber. Oh, and btw, he also hacked the production site to play bad apple on it 7 hours ago - #CBSE #OSM
nisarga@ni5arga

We managed to play the iconic Bad Apple video on CBSE's prod site!

We recently built an AI assistant inside @Razorpay called Slash. It reads our entire codebase, debugs production incidents, reviews specs, writes code, reviews every single PR, answer tech queries and also raises PRs for small features. It's easily accessible through Slack. We can tag it in any Slack thread, describe the problem in English, and it gets to work. Six weeks ago, Slash handled 122 tasks in its first week. Last week it handled 14000+. Queries, analysis, bug fixes, PR reviews, test runs and work that earlier lived across scattered tools and teams can now be done with Slash right within Slack. 1000+ people used it in a single week because it got their work done faster. The whole adoption has been completely organic. The numbers from last week have been very encouraging - 14,854 tasks completed. 2,150 PRs raised, 1,152 merged, 45% of those PRs shipped with zero human rework. A payout gets stuck mid-retry during a live incident, an engineer tags Slash and within seconds, it cross-references logs with code and pinpoints a state machine bug blocking the retry-to-failed state transition. Tells the team exactly which logs to check and how to resolve the incident. With its K8s analyzer skill, Slash scanned a single namespace, right-sized all 11 workers using 48-hour P95 pod metrics, and raised the PR. One run saved $560/month. A marketing banner bug was fixed with few prompt iterations with a PR raised, merged to prod and deployed in minutes. No front-end developer touched the code. Security teams ran static security testing and remediation through Slash at org scale. Thousands of findings were purged and many more got validated autonomously. But Slash isn't just an engineering tool. Account managers now trace stuck customer payments and integration failures through Slash instead of pinging engineers on Slack. L2 product support tickets get triaged by Slash before they reach engineering. 250+ non-engineers ran thousands of sessions last week. PMs used it for research on our payments infra, customer interviews and product features sometimes raising PRs of their own. Analytics teams built SQL pipelines. 11% of all sessions came from people outside tech and product. On our company bakkar (watercooler) Slack thread, someone asked Slash jokingly to assign tasks to everyone and it responded in the same tone. It seamlessly started participating in inside jokes and conversations. The quality compounds with use. Engineers who shipped 11+ Slash PRs averaged a 63% merge rate without rework. First-timers averaged 37%. Across the org, human review comments per PR have dropped more than 40% with Slash starting to do in-depth review of every single change. We're still early. Large cross-repo refactors, fully agentic sdlc and plan mode are next. But Slash has already changed how people at Razorpay build, debug, and ship every day.

after almost two years in blr, finally went to pizza 4ps last weekend. what an absolutely amazing place!! (a long simp post) while the pizza with that gobsmacking buratta cheese on top was obviously out of the world, the entire experience was so well thought through. right from the entrance with a nice waiting area, with seating, detox water on tap, and a bunch of boards and a TV that shows where they source very specific things. right from the arakku coffee beans to their napkins from jaipur. and your experience on the table is also so thought through: - the place had ample natural light, and glasses setup in a way that it almost made it feel like you were sitting outdoors - entire menu is on a tablet with a well-designed UI that makes sure you don’t miss anything while ordering - a dedicated hanging stand for the tablet - the cutlery was kept on a small wedge which made it easier to pickup - the cushions on the chairs were of the apt firmness that it was comfy to sit on for a long time, not too soft - the service was very nice, there was nothing we had to actively ask for, we were taken care of really well we just had such a great time there. need more such actually nice, thought through places instead of just overpriced, overhyped bars with mediocre food, mediocre service and loud music. places like this just make me want to build something with such high customer love! what an amazing place!

Tomorrow at 12:29pm IST, @NavamCapital portfolio company @GalaxEye will launch the world’s first satellite that combines optical + Synthetic Aperture Radar (optoSAR) sensors on a single platform - at a weight of ~190 kg, it is also the largest satellite built by a private company in India. The engineering significance is colossal. By fusing SAR with multispectral imaging in one pass, the optoSAR payload produces inherently aligned, analysis-ready imagery with roughly 3x the information of single-sensor systems. For India, this translates into special strategic capability: persistent border and maritime surveillance with no weather or night blind spots; real-time tracking of convoys, camouflage detection, and change detection; and faster military decisioning through onboard AI. This is precisely the kind of dual-use, IP-differentiated deep tech that the New India must invent rather than import. For five years, the young team at GalaxEye - @thesuyashsingh, Denil Chawda linkedin.com/in/denil-chawd…, @ThePranitMehta, @KishanHarshadT, @rakshitbhatt98 - has built with grit and persistence toward this moment. Their work demonstrates what India's engineering talent, properly empowered and backed by patient risk capital, can deliver! Tomorrow is a historic day for GalaxEye, and for space tech. Follow Mission Drishti and the launch here: galaxeye.space/mission-drisht… 🛰️ 🚀 🇮🇳

A Japanese couple quit their jobs, moved to Vietnam with $100K and built a pizza empire 🍕 You probably know Pizza 4P's founded by @Yo_maco if you've been to Vietnam but not the story behind it. • Started in 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City • No mozzarella? They built their own cheese factory in Da Lat → in-house cheese now = ~15% of revenue (+ wholesale) • Grew from 1 store → 40+ locations across Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan) • Raised $10M from Cool Japan Fund • $4.6M after-tax profit in 2023 (+38% YoY) • Next stop: Brooklyn, NYC - opening Summer 2026 🇺🇸 And the food is just as good as the story!

indian wedding buffet is a scam. i always leave regretting something. so i built BuffetGPT 😠 an ai agent that scans entire buffet and gives you a game plan. it uses computer vision to detect every dish, then optimizes what to eat, what to skip, and how much based on actual stomach volume physics. its' pretty early, tested alpha at a friend's wedding. decent results. tbh, this is what my cs degree was for.

In an ideal world the big 5 apps - Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, & Zepto - should identify such buildings via an input from the delivery folks & then let the stuff be left in the lobby but atleast one won’t do it because they would think about this as an opportunity to get a little bit more market share at the cost of delivery folks - because for them delivery folks are replaceable enough to tolerate bad customer behaviour so as a society we continue to further push the marginalised deeper into their suffering because what will they even do!

Okay Bengaluru. You’ve been incredible in helping me find great doctors. 🙏 I seek your help again. Pls recommend endocrinologists/Diabetes specialists for long-term care & treatment. This is for my mother, who has her glucose levels under control but needs a recheck. Need doctors who provide holistic advice and not just treat the symptoms. As always, thank you for your help.
