@Romudeth No. With how poorly Unreal Engine 5, for example, performs, this generation has so much more to give. Hell, Star Wars Outlaws on the Switch 2 is proof positive a well optimized engine can deliver raytracing and beautiful visuals on a portable. Pure greed from executives.

Is anyone actually excited about next-gen consoles? I can’t say I am.

@Qwik "HDD vs SSD will be a factor" - Aside from bulk storage, who in the HELL is still using a spinny rust drive? NVMe drives are cheap as hell these days. A 512GB drive is $30.

@SEGAInforment I'm looking forward to SEGA refusing to answer why Sonic x Shadow Generations was impossible to patch for Switch 2 and requires a complete repurchase. Because that's a complete and total lie.

@Romudeth I can only speak for myself, but I left both major consoles altogether. The constant drama, the whining from the community, the constant fake outrage. Life is so much better leaving all that behind. Don't feel like I'm missing a single thing and my mental health has skyrocketed.

I'm glad I'm not personally invested in the Xbox brand. I can't imagine what fans must make of all this instability. Nintendo and Sony generally provide more stability. With some exceptions, you know what you're going to get. Xbox has no clear message or direction I can see.

@boztank I haven't seen or watched anything about the device - I'm assuming it's just a new paint job with the Xbox app preinstalled and a controller?
