@arampell @Danhightower If the IRS ever contested this, highly likely that it would consider that you and other disqualified persons control the company and disqualify the entire IRA. As others have said, this should only be used for passive investments not your own company

@Danhightower Even better: open a self-directed Roth IRA (eg with Columbia Private Trust), have the IRA “buy” the founder shares at inception, no tax ever Only issue is vesting / repurchase right since the IRA can’t have something tied to your employment. But fixable.

Founder hack: form a startup as an LLC first, then convert to a C‑corp once the LLC is worth several million (but under the QSBS $75M cap) so that the higher fair market value becomes your “basis” for QSBS and you can exclude up to 10x that amount from federal tax on exit, potentially turning hundreds of millions of gain into 0%-tax QSBS instead of being limited to the flat $10–15M cap. You're welcome have a good weekend.

@zeeg @joshmanders When we have Google sso turned on as the only login method, it seems like we should be able to skip showing a sign in with Google button on sentry and just automatically go to Google sso. Have asked support for this for years. Eg {slug}.sentry.io -> go directly to Google sso

Do people understand how much friction auth has when you click a link, login, and get sent to some completely unrelated link? I had the good fortune of using Notion today just to hit this same bug which I've been complaining about for years. This is the most frustrating part of every product, and while its not that trivial to fix these days (auth flows get really complicated), it plagues _so many products_.

Introducing Anything Max: Vibe Coding that's leaps above Lovable and Bolt We've raised money at a $100M valuation and built what we believe is the future of vibe coding. We asked 100 vibe coders to build their apps side by side on Lovable, Bolt, and Anything Max and they rated Anything Max the winner across all 3 categories - accuracy, design, and 'overall'. Here's why: • Full-stack control: Max can test backend hooks, branch database states, and debug issues, because Anything owns the full infrastructure. • Max can load up your app in its own browser and click on all buttons like a human tester to find all edge case bugs, then trace the bug across the stack - could be a frontend, backend, or a database issue (only we can do this, read #1) and autonomously fix it with 97% accuracy. Lovable and Bolt build prototypes, but Max users are building production-ready apps and already charging money for them. Blake built a gut biome app to $10K run rate Anthony built a referral tool to $20k in revenue Yuri built a suite of apps doing $40K Build your app with Max: createanything.com/max -------------------------------------------- We're hosting a $100K Hackathon to help people grow their app to $10K MRR. - We'll teach you everything we know about growing to 1M users. - You'll have 30 days to build a real product in public and get paying customers for it. If you do it well, you can start the New Year with a functioning business. Retweet and comment “LFG”, and we’ll send you a $100 discount code and the link to participate

I have heard so much from friends about how downhill the dating apps have gone. Internet, what isn't working here. Can you actually use the apps to find a partner today? If not, what sucks about it.

After generating $250K (last 2 months) I built a playbook for @lovable apps—and I’m giving it away. In just two months, we cracked the code to building apps with AI. I’ve distilled everything we learned into this single document. Comment "Build" and drop a follow. I’ll DM it to you. P.S. This will likely blow up, so give me some time to reply.

@jeremiahstweets We've given thought to changing it to the .com, but not a priority right now! We're bootstrapped and profitable for over 10 years, so no need to worry about us not being there in the long run, but we understand that on a quick glance it might raise concerns

Formspree has the .com but chooses to keep their .io as primary. I think it gives it a more startup vibe, which made me nervous about relying on it (how new are they, will I become dependent then they loose funding, etc).... Food for thought.

MYTH: We don't have a solution to nuclear's "waste problem" REALITY: Nuclear waste isn't a problem. In fact, it’s the best solution we have to meeting our energy needs while protecting the natural environment! Here's what you need to know:

People think nuclear waste is dangerous but it’s not. It’s never hurt anyone and likely never will. You can’t make a bomb out of it. There’s hardly any of it. It’s easy to manage. Everything we were taught about nuclear waste was wrong. ⁦@MadiHillynytimes.com/2023/04/28/opi…
