Great review of a great writer’s career. Brodribb did publish one other non-cricket book, “Hastings and Men of Letters”, in 1954, revised 1971. Even so, there were three cricketers included in his survey of Hastings writers, Haygarth, G D Martineau and Thomas Parkin.
