Jane Street Accused Of Dumping UST Before Terra Collapse Terraform Labs’ estate has accused Jane Street of using insider information from a private Telegram group before the Terra collapse. Court filings allege the trading firm dumped roughly $192 million in UST before the stablecoin lost its peg. The lawsuit claims Jane Street later made around $134 million betting against the Terra ecosystem as it unraveled.

Jane Street made $134,000,000 by shorting $LUNA in 2022, while most people lost everything. Also, Jane Street had a private Telegram channel for insider info, which they used to depeg UST in May 2022. These guys should be jailed.

There's a new brand for @SeiNetwork. At launch in 2022, Sei was intended as the "blockchain for trading." At the time, that meant crypto-native stuff: tokens, orderbooks, and exchange infrastructure. 🚨This could be the largest insider trading scandal in crypto history. Jane Street made $134 million by shorting Luna and UST right before the Terra collapse. Newly unsealed court filings reveal that Jane Street did not just use their insider information to close their UST position but they also used that information to short Luna and cash out $134 million as the entire Terra ecosystem collapsed. The insider access came through a private Telegram channel called "Bryce's Secret," run by Bryce Pratt, a former Terraform intern who moved to Jane Street. Their largest single trade was an $85 million UST sale on Curve Finance executed just 9 minutes after Terraform quietly withdrew $150 million from the same pool with no public announcement. After being identified by on chain analysts, internal communications show traders discussing how to "decommission" their wallets. Five days after UST hit zero, Jane Street offered Terraform's head of research a job and he started two weeks later.

This is already known. I did a full autopsy right after it happened its all on chain. Jane Street using an Alameda wallet moved $192m $UST right at the time the $UST liquidity pool was being transitioned. They would have needed insider info to know the exact time of the transition yes. Celsius also did a transfer at the same time ($100m). Those two created the $UST liquidity hole knowing it would auto trigger $LUNA mints and hyper deflation which they shorted. Its all in my highlights from the time.
