Facts of the case:
1. Complaint Registration on 16/02/2025:
On 16th February 2024, I registered a complaint with Samsung regarding the non-functioning display of my Samsung TV, which was under warranty at the time. The reference number is 4409177229.
10. Mental, Financial, and Emotional Distress:
Due to to the numerous false commitments, delays, and eventual refusal to refund the amount despite repeated assurances, I have been subjected to significant financial loss, mental distress, and emotional harassment.
9 Breach of Commitment Refusal of Refund (19/03/2025):I contacted Smsng to inquire about the status of my refund, be informed that replacement part for TV is now available, that previously refund would not be issued. This was a clear breach of the commitment made to m earlier.
8. Purchase of New TV (17/03/2025):
After consultation with the Samsung service center, I purchased a new TV on the evening of 17th March 2025, based on the information that I would be refunded the amount for the faulty TV.
of the invoice for the TV and a cancelled cheque for the Demand Draft (DD). The same was provided to the service centre on 17th March, 2025. I was assured that refund will be given asap. The service centre also told me that old TV will be picked up at time of delivery of DD
7. Communication Regarding Refund (17/03/2025):
On 17th March 2025, I was informed that the part was still unavailable. The service centre then offered to provide a refund after deducting 33% depreciation. I was further informed that the refund would be processed upon submission
6. Continued Delay and False Commitments (March 2025):
Over the next several weeks, I followed up numerous times with Samsung customer care and the service centre.Despite repeated assurances that the replacement part wud arrive soon, I continued to face delays & a lack of clarity
5. Second Complaint Registration (24/02/2025):
Subsequently, new complaint was registered on 24/02/2025 and was informed that the part for my TV’s display panel would be available soon. The new reference number is 4409561621.
4. Resolution at Retail Store (February 2024):
I visited the store from where the TV was purchased, and after intervention, I was assured that my TV was indeed covered under warranty, and the necessary actions would be taken.
3. Unwarranted Charge for Panel Replacement (Feb,24)Despite TV being warranty, I was contacted by Samsung's ser centr informed me that cost for replacing panel wuld b ₹90,000. Upon requesting clarification on the warranty coverage, the sr centr denied the warranty and refused
2. Engineer Visit and Diagnosis on 18/02/2025:
An engineer from Samsung visited my residence on 18th February 2024 and informed me that the display panel needed to be replaced and they charged me Rs. 354/- for the visit. ( Bill enclosed).
