Look at this valley. 800-meter vertical cliffs on both sides. 72 waterfalls. A working dairy village at the bottom with a train station, a school, and 2,400 residents who farm under the rock face every day. More BASE jumpers have died here than anywhere else on Earth. Lauterbrunnen sits in the Bernese Oberland. The cliffs exist because a glacier 11,000 years ago carved straight down through the limestone, leaving vertical walls normal water erosion does not produce. The Staubbach Falls plunges 297 meters in one uninterrupted column. From the high exits up top you have close to 800 meters of vertical air before you hit the valley floor. In the 1990s BASE jumpers figured out it was the highest concentration of jumpable cliffs anywhere on the planet. The valley turned into a mecca. The Swiss Base Association estimates 15,000 to 20,000 jumps every summer. Wingsuits hit 250 km/h before the canopy opens. 64 BASE jumpers have died in Lauterbrunnen since 1994. That is 55% of every BASE death tracked in Switzerland over 30 years, concentrated inside one valley 1.5 km wide. The deadliest single exit is called High Ultimate. 14 dead. Sputnik 9. High Nose and Via Ferrata 8 each. 63% of the deaths involved wingsuits flying too close to the wall. The farmers at the bottom run a permission system. Every jumper buys a 40 franc landing card. 25 of those francs go directly to the dairy farmers whose hayfields the parachutes come down in. 15 go to the Swiss Base Association to maintain the exits up top. The hayfields are insurance receipts and the cliffs are revenue. In May 2021 the parish dedicated a memorial to the dead. The municipality wanted it built quietly. The Bernese tourism office still refuses to promote BASE jumping as a leisure activity. They did not choose this. The cliffs did. 8 million tourists visit every year for the waterfalls and the cows. 15,000 jump. 64 stayed.

SpaceX just casually dropped 45 payloads from 17+ countries across the globe into orbit on a single Falcon 9 flight (CAS500-2) Payloads included: • South Korea (CAS500-2) • USA • Germany • Italy • Greece • Singapore & more.. Before SpaceX, getting an international payload like this into orbit would have cost an absolute fortune. The industry was essentially forced to rely on slow, legacy launch providers Falcon 9's reusability did not just lower the cost to low-Earth orbit - it absolutely crushed it Space just opened up to the whole world at the cheapest price ever. Period.

> Be Asha Sharma > Started working at 17 > Worked at Deloitte, Microsoft and Cargill before even finishing university > Went on to run product across Messenger and Instagram Direct at Meta > Became COO of Instacart with full P&L responsibility across product, design, data science and operations > Returned to Microsoft to lead CoreAI Product behind Azure AI Studio, Copilot developer tooling and the model platform > Then got picked to replace Phil Spencer as CEO of Microsoft Gaming > Got doubted because she came from AI and platforms, not old-school games leadership > Came in saying Xbox should focus on great games players actually love, not flood the ecosystem with soulless AI slop > Then cut Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 to $22.99 > And PC Game Pass from $16.49 to $13.99 > Funny how “not qualified” gets quieter when players start winning

Neuralink is not just going to repair sight - it's going to exceed the limits of human biology, eventually delivering high-res vision that outperforms the best natural eyes "In the next 6 to 12 months, we’ll be doing our first implants for vision, where even if somebody is completely blind, we can write directly to the visual cortex." "Long term, you would have very high resolution and be able to see multispectral wavelengths... you could see in infrared, ultraviolet, radar. It's like a superpower situation." — Elon Musk
