@echowhitegsd@edwardjkirk@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp@vrbo What about the 180 night limit? This is what happened in Japan. Government suddenly announced that they would enforce their legislation immediately. So Airbnb started cancelling future bookings that would have taken hosts over the limit.
@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp we host our home which is govt registered for short term lets in Toronto. Twice now you’ve automatically cancelled our guests for no reason and without notice. Our guests are rightly angry. What the hell is going on?
@Earl_GreyT@edwardjkirk@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp@vrbo Yes I am well aware of the restrictions. I have reached out to the city to make sure that my registration is still valid. They still cannot explain why my bookings we're cancelled.
@echowhitegsd@edwardjkirk@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp@vrbo Hi! The legislation applies to all Short Term Rentals. Toronto authorities are now enforcing their legal restrictions. Properties/hosts must be registered with the city, primary residences only, maximum of 180 nights per year, etc. etc. Booking dot com already pulled out.
