I’m not ashamed to say that AI boosted my productivity by 20x I managed to build more in 2 months than in a year I’m juggling between 2 projects at the same time This was impossible for me before How times have changed.. incredible

As a developer, which one do you use for backend?

it's so fun you just wake up get to your laptop and give prompts and then you go get fresh while claude and codex does the work

@andyhennie @JameelRahhal That 180px sidebar tradeoff is interesting. If Codex and Chrome can stay visible without stealing the main canvas, agent work starts feeling much less like context switching.

actually, i plan to give you more screen real estate. trying to get codex/chrome tabs inside the dock sidebar working reliably, then you can hide the sidebar for all other apps / or start using top tabs. looks like this on desktop, and is about 180px wide. x.com/andyhennie/sta…

I just created a sidebar Dock for MacOS, and it feels amazing to use. Every app has a vertical sidebar these days, why doesn't the OS itself have it?

@HeyYanvi @dkundel Embodied agents are where this gets really interesting. The less custom glue you need between browser, terminal and local state, the more it starts feeling like an actual operator instead of another chatbot.

@dkundel Wow this is a boon for embodied agents. No more custom codex bridges. Testing on Yanvi soon.

@thsottiaux 10/10 plan. The X part is product research now, so it is technically work. Please keep shipping, Codex is becoming dangerously useful.

Our master plan is to release better and more efficient models. And also to release better products, week after week. Oh and get more compute too. Together with spending too much time on x. How good is this plan?

@vinpac_io That would be valuable. Codex is easier to teach to people outside the AI bubble because it maps to familiar actions: inspect files, edit code, run checks, explain what changed.

@edenarox Yes and to be honest I feel way more confident on teaching someone which is "off the ai bubble" how to use codex than to use claude code. I'm strongly considering doing it starting next week

@adriwtm @cet3001 Mostly screenshots/Appshots plus strict checkpoints: show UI state, make one change, verify in browser, repeat. The big win is forcing the agent to compare intended vs actual UI.

@edenarox @cet3001 Absolutely, visual context is a huge unlock. What are you using to keep the agent in sync with the UI?

Appshots in Codex is the kind of context that matters. Visual feedback beats another wall of text every time. @cet3001 is right. If the model can see the screen, the workflow gets real fast. x.com/cet3001/status…
Calvin Thurman@cet3001

@sama Appshots in Codex is the kind of context-aware feature that makes AI coding actually feel like a real workflow partner. Giving Codex a visual reference of what you are building changes the whole dynamic. Ship after ship, OpenAI is not letting up.
