For the week that’s in it, here’s a pointedly miserable, rain-drenched 18 Ormond Quay Upper. Like the rest of the country, its cut granite elements and handmade yellow bricks are saturated from days of almost relentless driving rain 🧵

It’s often the most subtle achievements that go unnoticed. On Dublin’s O’Connell Street, the recent replacement of almost the entire public lighting set with energy-efficient LED lighting has had a transformative impact on the appearance and atmosphere of the thoroughfare 🧵
