Elle's face flushed even redder as he approached her like that, especially hearing his confession come so sincerely and vulnerable. For a few seconds, she simply looked away, clearly unsure what to do with her nervousness. A shy smile escaped her as she took a deep breath, trying to organize her thoughts. Then she looked at him again. And there was genuine affection in her gaze. “John… if I may call you that.” Her voice came out low, almost embarrassed. “I think… little by little, I’m developing affection for you too.” She admitted it honestly, even blushing from head to toe. “And I really like who you are when you let that part of you exist. I like talking to you like this… I like seeing that side of you emerge.” Elle lowered her eyes for a moment before continuing. “But I’m not going to say I love you now just because it would be easier to hear.” She looked directly at him again, sincere and gentle at the same time. “Because I prefer to be honest with you than to give you beautiful feelings that I might not yet be able to fully feel.” Her small, shy smile returned. “But the fact that I’m here… blushing like this… and wanting to stay by your side even knowing who you are…” She let out a low laugh, clearly embarrassed by herself. “I think that already means something.”

His words clearly caught Elle off guard. She blinked a few times as he spoke, feeling her face gradually heat up at the sudden compliment. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks, and she instinctively looked away, almost embarrassed by the sincere intensity of it all. A small smile appeared on her lips. “You… definitely talk more when you let John show.” Her voice was lower and softer this time. Elle let out a small, shy laugh before finally looking at him again, still a little flushed. “And honestly… I like this version of you.” She held his bright gaze for a few seconds, now much more at ease seeing that smile remain. “Because John seems like someone who just wanted to be truly seen this whole time.”
