The national average price of gasoline is on a trajectory to reach $4.50/gal in the next week as oil screams higher today as risk of an extended blockade grow. Diesel also poised to return to surging in the days ahead. Great Lakes states (MI, IN, OH, IL, WI) see refinery snags.
@xavisimons Thank you for representing our club so well on and off the pitch. Grateful you decided to come here and for all the quality you bring each week. My son and I love watching you play, keep grinding through these hard times, we have your back!!! COYS!!! 💙🤍
Xavi Simons spent extra time at the club’s training ground last week, despite the #Spurs squad being given 5 days off after the Newcastle match.

@RickySacks@LastWordOnSpurs This is the ownership’s priority. @SpursOfficial when will ownership start properly supporting this club and stop making everything else a priority to line your pockets?!!!

@Ndombolo20 If we signed Akliouche and had Simons, Madders, Kulusevski and Kudus available does he get into our starting 11? I haven’t even touched upon would he get in ahead of Odobert and Tel either. Plus people are desperate for Williams-Barnett to get minutes too.
Good interview from Lange. I’m in full agreement that we should be targeting a certain calibre of player, as we did in the summer and have tried to do throughout the January window, albeit without success.
I don’t want us to be lumbered with players who simply aren’t good enough for the next few years just to solve a short-term problem over the next couple of months.
I’d much rather see the likes of Byfield, Williams-Barnett, Olusesi, Thompson and Melia given opportunities than bring in short-term, sub-par solutions to fill a gap. So-called “mid-tier” players (some would say Palhinha falls into that bucket) especially in a World Cup year, are primarily motivated by game time so a short term move with no guarantee of game time isn’t appealing.
Spurs get slaughtered by fans for signing players deemed not good enough, and then get slaughtered again for not signing players who are deemed not good enough.
The quality we want to bring in is top tier. If that means waiting another window, I’m very comfortable with that.
I look at our squad and it’s both a large and very strong squad when everyone is fit, with a mix of experience and leadership. The problem is I don’t know many, if any other club with an injury record as bad ours has been these past 18 months. Bad luck? I think not!
In the summer, we’ll be moving a number of players on. We’ll also have several top young players returning from loan spells, which will require clear decisions on their next steps. On top of that, we’ll be substantially upgrading a number of positions with a focus on long-term improvements, not short-term fixes.
The below is the current squad, I’ve included the ages of players from the 1st August 2026, it’s actually a large squad full of experience despite the noise.
Ahead of next season I’ve marked who I would keep ✅, those I’m undecided on 🈺 and those I would move on ❌

@LastWordOnSpurs@RickySacks you guys called it in the last show, “will probably go into next window again with ‘BIG AMBITIONS’” How long are they going to keep rolling out the same drivel expecting us to just accept it as being enough?
🇩🇰Johan Lange on Tottenham Hotspur’s January Transfer Window:
🗣️“We didn’t anticipate going into January with seven injuries, which obviously changes things throughout the window. It’s very important, although highly frustrating, to remain disciplined.”
🗣️”The injured players are coming back, and while making a stress purchase might give you a nice immediate feeling, there’s no point in signing players who can’t help us in either the short or long term.”
🗣️"Even though our financial situation is better than most clubs and we have owners that are willing to invest, it’s important to sign the right players. The lack of incomings wasn’t a lack of willingness to make investment to support the team."
🗣️"We will go into the summer with big ambitions, the plans are already drawn up and we have a clear picture of what positions and which profiles we need."

@DairyQueen@DairyQueen Wow you guys really blew it this year…we’ve bought a peppermint bark blizzard ice cream cake every year for my son’s birthday on the 23rd…first year that won’t be happening. How do you not roll this into January?! 🤦♂️😡👎
@letstalkthfc@AlasdairGold It’s not just Spurs, maybe more than others. I’m a newer fan of the EPL (<5 yrs) and, in general, it feels like more coaches in US sports are given longer leashes (i.e. “years” not “months”). Take Ange this year w/Forrest, right or wrong you rarely would see that in US sports.
@AlasdairGold Amazing to see the replies here. Honesty automatically assumed to be ‘mid table’. The guy is smart and modern and needs time. We have a young (and fairly mediocre) squad. Has he made mistakes yes? Can and will he learn from them. Let’s give him time to find out
Here's every word Thomas Frank just said to us here in Paris with a vow about what he will do at Spurs, what he noticed when he went back and studied the Arsenal game, the criticism of his tactics, the latest injury news and plenty more. football.london/tottenham-hots…
