@Garrett_Archer Sorry, is this what the big fuss is about? The way I'm hearing it, I woulda thought there was like 100 boxes. You mean to tell me there's only, what, 16?

The bow tie gives me the super power of remembering that mail boxes are a thing that exist and people can drop ballots in them whenever they want. In any case. Here is a map of the drop box locations in 2024 Tyler is ranting about. They are all in government buildings, spanning from Peoria to Gilbert. Cave Creek and Fountain Hills have their own dedicated drop boxes. They also largely match the commuter flow in the Valley. We don't put drop boxes on random street corners in Queen Creek or South Phoenix.

Not rocket science even when you wear a bow tie. More drop boxes in places that Democrats live = more late earlies in those places. Plenty of obvious evidence that there is not a fair equidistance of locations for republicans who lives on edges of metropolitan areas.

@ModRightPatriot You are absolutely correct The head of the Republican Party, the President of the United States, betraying and selling out a loyal incumbent Senator is not only unprecedented, it is repugnant and hateful. I’m done.

@elsurel48 @vanillaopinions Really only the snake on the lake configuration extending to blue Cleveland suburbs would be the only plausible way to primary her. Any other configuration of that district is basically only possible for her to consistently win

The @ZenithPolls poll for Ahlman's campaign conducted from May 8-11 had very similar results for the initial three-way race: 🔴43% Mike Flood (R) 🔵34% Chris Backemeyer (D) 🟢10% Austin Ahlman (I) ⚪12% Other/Undecided So our polls are essentially starting from the same place (Flood +8 vs. Flood +9). Love when we all agree! 10% is actually very high for a completely unknown independent candidate who jumped in the race a week ago. Only 27% of voters know who Backemeyer is after being in the race for 7 months. But when voters saw positive bios for all three candidates to control for name ID: — Backemeyer's vote share dropped from 38% to 33% (-5) in the head-to-head — putting him 12 points behind Flood — and dropped from 34% to 22% (-12) in the three-way vote — Ahlman's vote share rose from 36% to 47% (+11) in the head-to-head — putting him four points ahead of Flood — and rose from 10% to 28% (+18) in the three-way vote So yes, if the election were happening today, more people would obviously vote for a virtually unknown Democrat than a virtually unknown independent. But let's see whose fundraising, name ID, and support is stronger later this summer before the filing deadline before we start making any claims about who has the better shot to beat Mike Flood 1:1 in the fall.
