Early returns from restarted count in Lambeth looking very promising for the Greens. London tells a very different story regarding Labour performances and defences in later results versus earlier ones. Mostly driven by there being more Green challenges in later declarations.

@mehdirhasan The press would be calling this Biden's Katrina if they weren't broadly on board with his policy in Gaza. The press is the problem.

Let's be clear: if this had happened on Trump's watch, we would all be mocking and denouncing him. It's super-embarrassing that it happened on Biden's watch and the fact that it did shouldn't prevent us from saying: what a bloody shitshow.

The pier took two months and $320m to build, lasted 12 days, and delivered less than 60 trucks' worth of food (most of which was stolen after it reached Gaza) before it broke and had to be towed away for repairs. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

A group of business people raised tens of millions of dollars to “fund an information campaign against Hamas” and “win the war of US public opinion,” while lobbying high level officials, and we are told that the Washington Post is antisemitic for reporting on it bc many but not all of the folks are Jewish

Israel's first evacuation order instructed 1 million Palestinians to pack up their entire lives and leave Northern Gaza within 24 hours. Israel is now at The Hague claiming that asking it to respond to a 10-page PM request within one week is too short a deadline.

@MeirChaimowitz @ytirawi The IDF turned much-needed civilian infrastructure into a military target. You think people won't need hospitals after Israel leaves?
