I really hope @DCI_Kenya acts on this matter. These people did not even know the exact person who allegedly stole their money,they were caning all their employees. Even if they knew, caning someone is wrong. They should be charged with assault. If an employee ever steals from you, report them. The offence is called stealing by servant. Section 281 of the Penal Code states: “If the offender is a clerk or servant, and the thing stolen is the property of his employer, the offender is liable to imprisonment for seven years.” In many cases, there is no option of a fine,stealing from your boss can land you in serious trouble.
