Spain has positioned itself as one of Europe’s loudest anti-Israel voices yet when flotilla members blocked the arrivals gate for their photo op, Spanish authorities handled them with a level of force they would instantly condemn if Israel did the same. That’s the whole hypocrisy in one scene: governments holding Israel to standards they can’t meet for five minutes in their own airports. So will the world call for boycotts of Spain? Will activists flood the streets? Will celebrities post black squares and moral lectures? We both know the answer.

Maybe because it didn’t happen and there has been no evidence provided. Thiago allegedly sexually assaulted three women on one of the previous flotillas. They were convinced to drop the charges. Several members of the flotilla have links to Hamas. How was this not a bigger story being reported by the media ?

The footage of the flotilla members being arrested by the Spanish police is actually the worst thing that could have happened to them. All of Spain's arguments that Israel is horrible and brutal, and then there is footage of them being very rough with the same people they accused us of hurting. If only the flotilla members had been able to avoid all of this somehow. Like, by not being a complete menace.

In June 2025 thousands of activists marching to Gaza arrived in Cairo. The Egyptian police wasted no time in making sure it ended there. "Beaten, detained, deported" And there was no international outcry like there is now. Israel is always treated differently.

You are also overlooking the fact that Israeli violence against Palestinians vastly exceeds Palestinian violence against Israelis and Israel is engaged in a course of genocide and ethnic cleansing. Yet you are not, for example, considering how British Palestinians might feel when they see Israeli flags openly displayed on the streets. Or how they might feel when they are told being a Zionist is the only acceptable thing to be and that people who are opposed to Zionism should be demonised.

It’s very simple: the Intifada was a campaign of suicide bombings, shootings and stabbings that killed hundreds of Israeli civilians. Calling for it to be “globalised” means bringing it here. That isn’t “criticising Israel”. It’s inciting violent hatred.
