This Barca performance was definitely one of the better they’ve displayed in the 2+ seasons I’ve closely followed them. Just because the squad depth is thinner, it is still a team every opponent should fear just as before.

If the opponent closes off the center of the pitch making it diffucult to progress even for Barca, they’re definitely not opposed to playing outside the defensive strcuture. This requires one of the midfielders attacking the space left open after they patiently bait the press.
