This system is a complete disaster, has been completely confusing, and should honestly be reverted back to the old warning system. Even under most media comments, people seem to be confused. Also doesn’t help that there’s a yellow warning for something every other day.

Winter storm warning (yellow) for Toronto and E GTA but watch continues (???) for W GTA. 15-30+cm in these areas. Special weather statement for Niagara for 10-20cm (???). Not sure how we see yellow snowfall warnings for 5-10cm but a 15-30+cm snow is also yellow or SWS.

Municipal511 is good in Huron, Bruce, Grey and Dufferin Counties. It’s good for Wellington, but can be out of date.
Provincial highways are best by looking at 511Ontario, OPP and Municipal511.
Ultimately, it’s a guessing game.
