Indeed. Malaysia has little, if any, need of the services of underperforming former ministers and aristocratic scions who want the benefits of their last names (Najib Razak, Hishammuddin Hussein) or lineage (Tengku Zafrul Aziz) without the responsibilities that come with it.
KucingKerongKuantan@KlutzyKucing

Menyampah2 kita dgn WAF pun at least dia menang di Machang. Tapi Tengku Zafrul ni level yg tak layak disampahkan pun sbb bak kata Diva AA "not my level" at all. Dah lah level nepo baby cam TP PKR jer, sama2 tak menang kerusi tapi suka flex lebih2, tak function tapi suka take credit. Mmg ciri2 yg PMX suka lah semua nih

Says the party hopping, election losing aristocrat whose ministerial positions were enabled through his appointment to the Senate. Nowadays there are many politicians who live in glass houses, and plenty of stones to go around.

Behold, the four horsemen of Malaysian political apocalypse: denial, delusion, inertia, and arrogance. The takeover and mobilisation of Bersama may lead to the PH coalition being competitively challenged by the former on its left and UMNO, PAS, and Bersatu on its right in GE16.

Interesting part isn’t just the 29% from PKR - the political signal is the 46% first-time political participants. That shows a growing number of Malaysians are no longer buying into the old political ecosystem. If these numbers are genuine & sustainable beyond launch hype, BERSAMA may be tapping into something Malaysian politics hasn’t seen in years.🙏👌

😿😿It's sad to think that what YB Lee highlighted might actually be true. I hope it is not true. Non-Muslim communities are forced into commercial shophouses just to find a place to gather, simply because they are frustrated from getting legal permission anywhere else. The laws and local regulations feel so heavy and restrictive, leaving these crowded, fragile spaces as their absolute last resort. To even try to operate lawfully, they are burdened with endless paperwork, forced to register with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and ask local councils for special permission to operate as places of worship. For non-Islamic faiths in Malaysia, it is a painful, exhausting struggle against mountains of bureaucratic red tape just to establish a simple place to pray. It hurts to hear the official rhetoric about the government respecting all religions, when the crushing reality of the bureaucracy tells a completely different, heartbreaking story. #Malaysia #PoliticalIslam #Worship #RedTape #NonMuslim

Funny how every new political movement threatening the status quo is immediately labelled a "boon" for someone else. Maybe analysts should ask why 46% of BERSAMA members are first-time political participants. That’s not PH votes moving to PN - that’s Malaysians losing faith in the entire old political circus. Danger is not BERSAMA helping PN. Danger is voters no longer trusting PH, BN or PN at all.

When Reformasi transmogrifies into Reformati, Madani morphs into Mahadani. We are witnessing firsthand PKR's transmogrification into a latter-day UMNO (nepotism, cronyism, money politics, patronage, factionalism) as the former lurches from one self-inflicted crisis to another.
Rafizi Ramli@rafiziramli

Perbezaan politik sampai budak pun jadi sasaran. Dan semua orang tahu kenapa Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim tak pecat kami terus. Sebab kalau pecat, pintu tebuk atap akan terbuka. Jadi biar orang bawahan buat kerja kotor. Bila kami akhirnya keluar, tiba-tiba cerita bertukar. Kami pula dituduh pengkhianat. Orang tanya, “Apa perasaan sekarang?”. Tak rasa apa-apa. Macam hari biasa. 20,000 medical visas allegedly issued to foreign nationals illegally is not a small matter. Whenever there’s a major scandal involving immigration and foreigners, law enforcement seems to drag its feet. Worse, governments appear reluctant to crack the whip. Forgive people if they start thinking that politicians in power have been profiting behind the scenes all this while.

Agree or disagree with Rafizi, one thing is becoming obvious - both PH & PN would not be attacking Parti Bersama Malaysia this aggressively if they believed it was irrelevant. Malaysians, especially younger voters, are clearly exhausted with recycled coalition politics, endless compromises, race-religion fear campaigns & personality cult leadership. Malaysia doesn’t just need new slogans anymore - it needs a genuine political reset built on competence, integrity, policy & accountability. Perhaps that reset may come through BERSAMA.

Neutral view - Tengku Zafrul had strong corporate credentials from CIMB, but his tenure as Finance Minister under PN saw rising debt, repeated EPF withdrawals, weak structural reforms & policy uncertainty. Rafizi may be controversial, but he openly pushed difficult reforms like PADU, targeted subsidies, fiscal leakages & data-driven policymaking when many avoided those conversations. Zafrul projected corporate optics. Rafizi pushed uncomfortable reforms. That’s why, from a policy & long-term economic perspective, I still rate Rafizi higher as a minister.

Elon Musk's first wife once described what it's like to watch him fail. She said he doesn't react the way normal people react. When a rocket explodes, most people in the room go silent. Some cry. Some start calculating the financial damage. Musk pulls out his phone and starts making calls. Not emotional calls. Engineering calls. "What failed. When can we fix it. When's the next launch." His voice doesn't change. His face doesn't change. The rocket that just cost $60 million is already in the past. The next one is all that exists. She said it was the most unsettling thing she'd ever witnessed. Not because he was cold. Because he genuinely wasn't affected. The failure didn't register as failure. It registered as data. An experiment that produced results. Results that inform the next experiment. This is why he wins. Not because he doesn't fail. He fails more spectacularly than anyone in history. He wins because failure occupies zero psychological space. It enters as data and exits as action. Most people lose not because they fail but because they spend weeks processing the failure before acting again. Musk spends zero seconds. The gap between failure and next attempt is a phone call.

My friend thought it would be hilarious to grab my phone and throw it across the room during a party. I told him not to touch it. Multiple times. But he wanted everyone to laugh. So he launched it like a football. The screen shattered instantly. But that wasn’t even the worst part. The phone contained months of client work, family photos, and videos of my late grandmother that I never backed up. When I got angry, he rolled his eyes and said, “Bro, it’s just a phone.” No apology. No offer to replace it. My friends started defending him immediately. “He didn’t mean it.” “You’re overreacting.” “Don’t ruin the vibe.” So I calmly sent him the repair and data recovery bill. Over $2,000. He laughed and ignored it. Then small claims court stopped being funny. Now every month part of his paycheck disappears before he even sees it. And somehow I became “petty” for expecting an adult to pay for something he deliberately destroyed. It’s always interesting how people call it “a joke” once they’re the ones facing consequences.
