@snapdaily05 @sadgirlyboss A similar thing happened to my friend. She was riding a bike and hit a bump and went flying over the handlebars. She landed on her head/shoulder. Split the helmet in two and broke her shoulder. At least she didn't split her head open. Helmet did exactly was it was supposed to do.

@sadgirlyboss My son had a helmet on and came flying around the corner alley and to avoid crashing with brothers steered towards the grass. The bumpy ride jarred his feet off the pedals(brakes), he hit the corner of the garage. Splitting the helmet in two equal pieces still connected by strap.

in preschool they asked my mom (a doctor) to teach helmet safety. my dad bought 2 cantaloupes, drew faces on them, and my mom dropped them—one helmeted, one not. the unhelmeted one exploded on the class. mom said, “this is why you wear a helmet.” she was not invited back.
