@gavinstpier @BBCGuernsey What if a single mum earns just above £50k but is already struggling due to high mortgage interest and no help from the father of her children? In essence she is being punished for working hard

I will be on @BBCGuernsey tomorrow at 0700 explaining these proposals; why now when the corporate tax review is still ongoing; why on food; why if they are approved in the summer, broadly those earning <£50k will be better off, especially those who rent or have a mortgage.

@MaryLowe501 @gavinstpier A lot of the staff tried to oppose centralisation and confirmed it would never work, and then MyGov came in. They weren't listened to either. Gavin is very good at spin politics but appears to have a very poor memory of what he has supported in the past

CE Boley Smillie in this video clip said the IT projects failed from 2019, I remember MyGov transition being promoted by @gavinstpier and the previous Chief Executive with 4 of us Presidents at the time objecting but were ignored. The rest they say is history, £42m failure

@MaryLowe501 @Govgg I'm not sure, but you need a QR code to get on a school bus and I think you have to register to get the code. Some kids might just want to go to town after school, so they hop on the public bus

The bus driver had it right when she told the students at Footes Lane/Les Varendes bus stop somebody is going to get seriously hurt. She tried getting them to step back when best part of 100 students surged forward as the bus pulled in. @Govgg need to address this.

@fattyguern @Govgg I really think there should be somebody in authority going and have a look at how dangerous it is with such a crush and pushing to get on the bus. You could hear the terror in the bus drivers voice trying hard to move them back. Once full around 60 left waiting for the next bus.

Certainly needed to attract specialist workers to the island. Rents have increased primarily due to lack of stock and landlords exiting the sector. More housing needed is the answer.

@fattyguern @coughlin66 @pvbsc1 There’s no evidence whatsoever of that. The electronic data sources would pick up if there were so many here. It’s impossible for many to live totally below the radar and the number of dwellings has barely increased so are they all living underground somewhere?
