i built a memory system because my openclaw agents kept forgetting workflows and relevant info between sessions gigabrain sits between openclaw and every conversation. before each prompt it searches a local sqlite database, pulls the most relevant facts, and injects them as context. the agent remembers because the system remembers. here's what it actually does: capture: agent emits tags. gigabrain extracts them, scores confidence, dedupes against existing memory, and stores to the registry. nothing gets in without passing a quality gate. recall: hybrid search across the sqlite registry AND your workspace markdown files. MEMORY.md, daily notes, all of it. unified. topK results, token-budgeted, injected before the prompt. dedupe: exact match + semantic similarity. auto-merge above 0.92 cosine threshold. queue for review between 0.85 and 0.92. nothing stored twice. nightly: snapshot backups, compaction, vacuum, quality audit. runs as a cron. i wake up and the memory is cleaner than when i left. the whole thing is local-first. sqlite. no cloud. no vendor. runs on ollama for optional llm-based extraction review. your memory, your machine. it's open source and there's a one-command setup wizard. 3 minutes and you're running. github.com/legendaryvibec…

Everyone is building AI agents. Almost nobody is building useful ones. The problem isn't the tech. Claude Opus 4.6 just hit 60% better on agent benchmarks. The models are ready. The problem is 95% of agent startups are building solutions nobody asked for. Best agents I've seen? No fancy UI. No "agent framework." Just raw API calls and a state machine. Ship the boring version first. Optimize later.
