🌈We are delighted to be at the official opening of @HighfieldsSpen1 🌈 Well done to all of the children, and staff for such a beautiful ceremony. Thank you to everyone who came to support from the local community #RAINBOW

We also loved our ceilidh with Schuggie and then our first ever summer fair, organised and run by Friends of Highfields and staff was brilliant, complete with fire engine, pizza, ice cream, bouncy castle, glitter tattoos and cake! Xx

Thank you also to Cllrs Martyn Ford and Alex Dale, Mike from Greenbelt, Angela O'Brien our Director of Primary Schools at Spencer Academies Trust and everyone else who shared our special day! Thanks to our staff for the brilliant jubilee street party and family picnic too today x

We had the most amazing official opening ceremony today at Highfields Spencer Academy. It was an honour to be joined by so many wonderful people and we thank John Waterhouse the artist, our MP Heather Wheeler, Chair of the Board of Trustees Donna Kinderman, our CEO Paul West too

If you are buying name stickers please use our school ID when ordering. It costs nothing extra to you but the school get some of the cost back.

Our postponed Christmas raffle is due to take place tomorrow afternoon. We will be updating winners on our Facebook page by Wednesday

Our new RAINBOW values went up today, along with our signage for The Hub and our new Nursery sign (our new Nursery logo looks adorable). Xx

@fohighfields We have thought about this too, going to get a couple more sockets out in so we can also add soft lighting (fairy lights) to parts of the new library furniture e.g. the little beach hut reading houses which we have all fallen in love with. Xx

So excited that our new library has finally been installed at Highfields! Have enjoyed unpacking lots of new books this evening to start bringing this new space to life. Found all the Space books for Year 1 who had a great trip to the Space Centre today xx
