Happy birthday bro @simplytegaejabs Such a pity after spending almost half a billion pounds, your club couldn't give you a title to celebrate. Don't worry, keep the pseudo-Man City support. More grace & blessings Sincerely yours, Foskolo 🥰

Arsenal players are really going to miss out on a lot of awards this season, and it’s not because they don’t deserve it, but because they have three players competing for the same recognition Rice, Raya and Gabriel and the crazy thing is all three are performing at almost the exact same elite level. It’s not like one have been so clear of the other, in fact you can make a case for each over the other and you will be right. That’s the problem with having a genuinely dominant defensive structure. The credit gets divided instead of concentrated on one superstar narrative. Rice controls everything in front of the backline. He kills transitions, wins duels, covers absurd ground and gives Arsenal physical dominance in midfield almost every game. Then Gabriel has probably been one of the most dominant center backs in the world this season physically. Aggressive, aerially unbeatable, constant presence on set pieces too. Then Raya quietly gives Arsenal one of the biggest advantages in modern football calmness and control from the goalkeeper position. His sweeping, distribution and command of space changes the entire defensive structure. And because all three are elite together, voters start asking themselves “who is actually the main reason Arsenal are this good defensively?” That hesitation alone will splits votes. If Gabriel was doing this in a weaker defensive team, people would scream best defender in the league every week. If Raya was carrying a chaotic backline with heroic saves, his narrative would explode too. If Rice was surrounded by a weaker midfield, his importance would look even more than this. But because Arsenal look so complete structurally, everyone shares the praise. I mean people were even making case for Saliba That’s why individual awards can sometimes fail to fully capture football reality. The best teams often weaken individual award chances because greatness is spread across the system instead of resting on one person. And honestly, this is one of the biggest signs Arsenal have become an elite side under Arteta. They no longer rely on moments from one player to survive games. Their quality is layered everywhere. One player steps up, another dominates the next match, and the overall level never drops. Years from now people may actually appreciate this Arsenal defensive core more than they do right now, because building a defense where the goalkeeper, center backs and midfield shield all operate at elite level is incredibly difficult in modern football.

I’ll be hosting an X Space on this conversation at 7PM Nigerian time, and I’d especially love to hear from female candidates, women actively involved in the political process, and advocates passionate about increasing women’s participation in leadership. If you’d like to speak or know someone whose voice should be part of this conversation, please reach out. This conversation is important, necessary, and long overdue.

Can we talk about our women? Yes, Nigerian women in politics. I’ve been following the party primaries closely, and I really think it’s time we have a more honest conversation about women’s inclusion in our political system. Beyond the headlines and public statements, what are women actually experiencing on the ground? What barriers still exist? What support is missing? And how do we move from symbolic inclusion to real participation? 👇🏽

FACT CHECK: Arne Slot says Arsenal scored 40% corner goals this season. In truth, only 24.6% were corner goals. City’s last title win included 22% corner goals. But people have to make up shit for attention and Slot obv had someone reading grifter tweets on Twitter.

Slot’s right. Over the last 4 years, the league has completely changed. It has become far more defensively secure with intense M2M pressing, making it much harder to score from open play. He himself fully packed his midfield the two times Liverpool played Arsenal, making it nearly impossible for either team to score except from a brilliant set piece. Some would call that really cowardly and him a total hypocrite. Not me. I’d call it smart. However, there was something different about this year. This year was the first time in all four where there was just one team with far more bravery than all the others. Just one team that was prepared to play high whilst the others hid and shut up shop, hoping to score on transition against that team. And that one team is Premier League Champions. So that salty bald fraud can suck it.

"Arsenal are a different champion to previous seasons, 40 per cent of their goals have come from set-pieces." Liverpool head coach Arne Slot discusses how football has "evolved" and credits Virgil van Dijk for playing every Premier League game for the club this season 🔴

Interesting to hear that the Police think over 1m will likely to be lining the parade route. Expecting a lot of people will be getting to command thier space early morning, If you do plan to attend, then bring water/food as shops will be rammed and will sell out early. I have no clue what the best space will be, i wont be there as will be coming back from Budapest. Hopefully will be more than one shiny object at the front of the bus!
