Would you like some ideas of fun things to do with the kids this summer? Take a look for inspiration on #DaysOut, days in and lots of bucket list ideas too. This was compiled by a group of #Mums during a tweet chat. #SummerDaysForKids @fundaysforkids/fun-things-to-do-with-the-kids-during-the-summer-holidays-c6215295f4dd?source=linkShare-a97cfae4103f-1533069658" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@fundaysforkid

@hayleyfromhome There’s a lot to get used to. Creative mode is great for designing things in worlds as there’s nothing to kill them. Mine swap between survival mode and creative depending on how they are feeling. They also like watching YouTube videos about it too and helps to gives them ideas!

@hayleyfromhome My 2 love it. Thought it was all a bit odd but is actually educational as my youngest was talking about obsidian being one of the hardest rocks to break which I think is true!

In light of my recent posts about the need for mummy friends I’ve set up a group so that anyone who attends MessyDays can keep in touch with other mums, dads, nans, grandads, uncles, aunties, childminders... Open to… instagram.com/p/B28uswsndnl/…

@hayleyfromhome It does get to a tipping point in our house where there’s that much stuff out they don’t play with any of it!

Do you have a child aged between 8-14 who has an interest in fashion / fashion design? Let us know if so. We've potentially got something exciting in the pipeline...

@fundaysforkids @hayleyfromhome No, that's not reading. I need to get him reading. Audiobooks won't help his comprehension unless i can persuade him to read along too which would be unlikely. Audiobooks would drive me mad i think. He said he might read more if books were on the kindle so we'll see if that works

What’s your Harry Potter book title? Just write “Harry Potter and the ____ of ______ “ and let predictive text fill in the blanks. Mines “Harry Potter and the time of my life”

@fundaysforkids @hayleyfromhome I did debate it a while ago. He loves books buying and borrowing, he just doesn't read them afterwards. I don't want him taking over my kindle. Could try on the kindle fire

@ETusty @hayleyfromhome I’ve just seen that ebooks are included in the summer reading challenge. Maybe if he could read them on a tablet/iPad that might entice him? I’ll see if I can tag you in the tweet.

@fundaysforkids @hayleyfromhome Frustrating because he's aware that not reading out of school is holding him back but he just won't do it. Loves books, loves them being read to him, but won't read kids newspapers, magazines, books anything. His mind just says, reading is for school
