@gandini85 @BluejuiceRay @Rory_Talks_Ball Old man lived this long just to act a clown on twitter. Mental gymnastics much 🤡😂
English

In all seriousness though with these referees
I think they’re absolutely petrified of making big decisions
Both with the Saka penalty and Havertz red card
Tierney doesn’t want to make the big call on field, VAR doesn’t want to make the big intervention off it
None of them want the responsibility

English

@yongalahbih @A_view @BBCMOTD @BBCSport They've also said the referee made a decision that was correct under the laws of the game but that they would have preferred he'd have given a free kick which is also correct under the laws of the game... the laws on handball are a mess
English

@gandini85 @A_view @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Of course they knew the law. That's why they are contacted Forest.

English

@RealityLfc Hes allowed to put his foot in front of saka as saka isnt in possession.. saka kicks him its a free kick to Burnley
English

🚨🎙️Ian wrights on Arsenal performance in the first half and a disallowed penalty played on Saka.
🗣️| This hate is beyond disgusting and unacceptable on Arsenal, you can see the player placing his leg in front of saka and not even an inch of his feet touches the ball but the referee insist not to give it.. A very deserved lead for us, well played and a tough fight from the start till half that’s really impressive to watch even with things not going right on our side.

English

@gaztheMaz @BluejuiceRay @Rory_Talks_Ball It is a foul by saka on the defender.. saka isnt in possession so the defender has every right to put his foot in front of him to control the ball and then saka kicks him
English

@BluejuiceRay @Rory_Talks_Ball Pretty clear he doesn't get near the ball and gets his foot in front of sakas, which is a foul. Seething so hard you've forgotten the rules of the game
English

@Rory_Talks_Ball Saka isnt in control of the ball as its an incoming cross, the defender gets his foot in front first and then saka kicks the defender and goes down.. its never been a penalty and if anything it's a free kick
English

@j_macgeever @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport He hasn't cheated at all, he attempts to control legitimately and then it hits his arm off his hip unintentionally.. that does gain him control but it wasnt intentional imo
English

@gandini85 @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport He couldn’t control the ball without his arm. Impossible. That’s where it’s obviously a hand ball he’s basically cheated
English

@j_macgeever @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Im not disagreeing that there shouldn't be a law change at all but by current laws the correct decision was probably made as the control wasnt deliberate .. it might not feel right but its the laws of the game and correct under IFAB
English

@gandini85 @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Well someone needs clearing up the rules because I think everyone believes you can’t control the ball with your Arm. No such thing as accidental,
English

@j_macgeever @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport The referee literally said as the handball was "accidental".. as in his body was considered in a natural position and the ball came off his hip first... if it wouldnt be a penalty then it cant disallow a goal
English

@gandini85 @DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport This isn’t 2000 anymore law book has been updated many times
English

@Will_BHA @RussellJarvis59 @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Exactly the issue is with the laws not the referee following them however the handball law is the hardest to get a satisfactory law that everyone is happy with
English

@Will_BHA @RussellJarvis59 @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Definitely needs looking at... United had one against them in the cup against derby a few years back where a player keeps it in with his hand essentially scores but as his teammate got the last touch on the goalline it counted
English

@DaveHo1mes @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Because it was considered accidental and by the laws of the game if its accidental then goal stands
English

@yongalahbih @A_view @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Direct and immediately indicate the goal scorer.. mbeumo was neither direct or immediately as he controlled it and passed it to cunha who scored hence why match centre have said it wasnt ruled out as the handball was accidental.. I think they know the laws
English

@gandini85 @A_view @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Read the last sentence. There's no "direct goalscorer" phrase. The word is "immediately".

English

@RussellJarvis59 @Will_BHA @BBCMOTD @BBCSport It came of his hip as he was trying to control it with his hip/chest area and hits his arm which results in accidental control and it drops to him but under current laws thats not handball
English

@Will_BHA @gandini85 @BBCMOTD @BBCSport But he didn’t did he? The ball was controlled by his inner arm, all the pundits called it, not sure what game you were watching but that’s called a handball 99.99% of the time but I’m afraid he bottled it after the VAR saw it as such….
English

@GUNNERNUMBER13 @BBCMOTD Direct goalscorer ie mbeumo would have needed to score for that to apply
English

GUNNER NO.13@GUNNERNUMBER13
IFAB -Law 12: Fouls and Misconduct "It is an offence if a player scores in the opponents' goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper; or immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if #ACCIDENTAL." #ManUtd #MUNNFO #EPL #PremierLeague
QME

@yongalahbih @A_view @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Only if its the direct goalscorer.. if mbeumo had scored its disallowed
English

@RussellJarvis59 @Will_BHA @BBCMOTD @BBCSport Neville also said it shouldn't be a penalty if its the defender .. so he understands its accidental but feels you shouldn't be allowed that goal but if its accidental then the current law is that it stands
English

@maninabush @BBCMOTD The law though is if its accidental then the benefit is irrelevant..same as a defender and the law says if it deflects off another body part then its not handball.. maybe the law needs to change though
English

@BBCMOTD Everybody saw the handball, they spent 15 minutes trying to find a way to let it stand. Quit overthinking it, this 2nd phase nonsense or it came off his hip. He gained an advantage by using his arm accidentally or otherwise. No goal. Saw it within 5 seconds. They take all day 🤡
English

@AshleySpen3966 @footballontnt Very very minimal contact whilst in the air.. by the time on ground no contact whatsoever and before eze just flings himself into the defender
English

@footballontnt You can see he has stamped on his foot absolutely disgraceful always the way with var he should of been sent off don’t know how he didn’t get booked for the gyokeres one
English

@TrollFootball2 But where is the pulling here? It was the natural movement of his hand no foul there
English

@bwfc_elliot @StokeyyG2 So why was his hair pulled back? It's accidental and not a red same as martinez but if you send one off then both should walk .. exactly the same offence
English

@StokeyyG2 He wasn't sent off because he didn't pull his hair. Martinez did. It's really that simple
English

VAR checked this pull on Cucurella’s hair from Calvert Lewin but it was NOT given.
You can understand why Man United fans would be annoyed after their Martinez hair pull was a straight red…
george@StokeyyG2
Calvert Lewin pulled Cucurella’s hair? 😭😭
