I get this question a lot Adoption redeems a broken situation; surrogacy creates one. Adoption happens after the child has been created; it is the next best option if the biological parents cannot care for their baby. Surrogacy *intentionally creates* a child with the purpose of separating him from the woman with whom he’s bonded for nine months. And, when it comes to two men doing this, they’re buying the eggs from one woman and renting the womb of another - taking the child away not just from the woman who birthed him but also his biological mom, and of course robbing a baby of the necessary care only a mother can give. Surrogacy commodifies babies and objectifies women’s bodies. It should be banned in all cases, whether the couple doing the buying is gay or straight

I don't see how surrogacy is any different than adoption. The right advocates for women to keep their baby and give it up to another family. How is it different?

@davidemccune 18 is when you move out of your parents home. So many single females (who are at dating age) will be unsafe from 18-21 by your proposal

@JesseKellyDC We use European formula, specifically Holle. It’s better than the formula sold in the states. It takes about a week to get here but you can order in bulk and sign up for subscriptions. It costs a little bit more, but is an option with the lack of supply here.

@Cernovich Europe has better formula than the states. It can be delivered to the states in less than a week. Unfortunately, it is more expensive than formula here, but it can be an option for some

Formula shortage is a disaster. No moms can’t make more milk. Some kids can’t latch. There are many issues at work. This is starvation level event hitting the U.S. And no one seems to care.
