We built something that solves a problem most people don't realize they have until they're staring at their screen frustrated at 2 AM.
You have a beautiful image. You need it split into exact equal parts. Maybe it's for an Instagram carousel, maybe you're slicing a sprite sheet for a game, or maybe you need to divide a massive print file into manageable sections.
So you Google "split image online" and what do you find? Tools that force you to upload your photos to some random server. Tools that slap watermarks on your output. Tools that compress your carefully crafted images into blurry messes.
That's why we built Image Splitter differently from the ground up.
Here's what makes it special: everything happens right in your browser. Your image never leaves your device. Not to our servers, not anywhere. Once the page loads, you could literally disconnect from the internet and it would still work perfectly.
The workflow is dead simple. Upload your image, pick your grid size (anything up to 10x10), and hit split. Done. You get lossless PNG files that preserve every pixel of your original.
But the real magic is in the details. You can drag the guide lines manually if you don't want perfectly equal splits. There's a smart zoom feature for working with massive high-res images. And when you're done, you can download everything as a single ZIP file instead of clicking twenty separate download buttons.
Social media people love the Instagram preset. One click gives you a perfect 1x3 split for carousel posts with zero pixel drift between slides. No visible seams when viewers swipe through.
Game developers use it for sprite sheet extraction. Set your grid, and each piece gets automatically named by row and column index. No more manually cropping individual sprites.
Print designers use it to slice large format files. It handles SVG and BMP inputs, so whether you're working with vectors or rasters, the output stays crisp.
The tool handles images up to 10,000 by 10,000 pixels, which covers pretty much anything you'd throw at it.
Five steps: upload, configure, adjust if needed, generate, download. That's it.
Give Image Splitter a try next time you need to divide an image. What's the most creative use case you can think of for splitting images into grids?
